It all started on Valentine's Day 2015. Charlotte was in medical school in Baltimore. Taylor was in law school at night in Baltimore. Taylor first asked Charlotte out on a date on Valentine's Day. Initially Charlotte declined, however after her best friend encouraged her to go, the date was on. Taylor planned on a sushi date at Joss in downtown Annapolis, however, after Charlotte arrived it started to snow (heavily). The date night out became a night of take out sushi, wine and getting to know each other...
Four years later...
Charlotte has graduated medical school. Taylor has finished Law school. They have built a house together and have an amazing dog/child named Wilson DeBord...
Who can't wait for his parents to get married on October 11, 2020!!
Taylor planned a surprise proposal in the Dominican Republic. Their first vacation together was to the DR, so since Charlotte had a week off between first (intern year) and second year of residency, a trip down to the DR was planned for several months to relax after finishing a hard year.
The third day of vacation, Taylor told Charlotte that he had an excursion planned for them up at the top of a mountain bluff. When they reached the top of the bluff a helicopter was waiting for them. The helicopter took them over the coastline of Punta Cana, to several beautiful waterfalls and to a private beach. On the way back to the top of the bluff, Taylor asked the pilot to fly over a particular beach. There, Taylor had a special family friend (Ana Lisa) have "Marry Me" spelled out in coconuts! When Charlotte saw the sign on the beach Taylor surprised her with the ring and asked her to marry him in the helicopter!
