She was sitting on a bench waiting for him. She got there a little early so she could see him coming. They were meeting each other for the first time ever for dinner. He came barreling down the street with enough confidence for both of them. They made eye contact with a look that said, "Is it you?".... and it was. Light conversation flowed during dinner, what do like to do for fun, where are you from, blah, blah, blah. She picked at her dinner shyly and he ate like he was hungry. She thought it was funny and it put her at ease. She didn't realize it yet, but his assuredness would always put her at ease. After dinner he said, "Want to go for a walk?" It was a warm summer night and they walked in near silence. Along the way, somehow they found themselves at the movies watching the Lion King. He would later admit that he had no interest in the movie but just didn't want the night to end. At the end of the night she said that she was going abroad in a few days and they mentioned getting together when she returned. While she was away, they spoke everyday and got to know each other. Their love was a slow burn. It deepened and enveloped them over time. And when they knew, they knew.
We've never met a campsite that we didn't adore!
