The wedding venue is in Ōtaki and we live in Waikanae. Both are on the Kāpiti Coast around 1 hour from Wellington. 

The closest airports are Wellington (international) and Palmerston North (regional). 

Getting to the Kāpiti Coast is relatively easy. It's around a one hour drive from Wellington Airport (lots of rental car options) or you can opt for the train from Wellington too, which is fairly good.

The best bet is to book an Airbnb in Waikanae, Ōtaki Beach, or Paraparaumu. Wellington is an option too, but it might make your travel on the day of the wedding tricky.
