Finding the love of your life is not just about finding the right person but also at the right time.
We went to the same high school, shared same friends, and you would think that we would've met in our high school's small one story building, but no, God had other plans.
It wasn't till college in where our paths crossed for good. This time at the perfect time. It all started in the summer of 2008.
"I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you." - Paulo Coelho

Irving wasted no time. Carol was on the greyhound bus on her way back home to Queens when Irving asked her out on a date.
The first date: Irving did his research! Thanks to Facebook, he found out that Carol is a fan of independent films. He arranged an IP film movie date at West 4th and then they had pizza and M&M's. Carol, a master icebreaker planner, used her planning event skills to get to know Irving at a deeper level. Each M&Ms represented a different question...and let's just say things got personal very quick! They had an open and honest conversation about all things! It was so easy to talk to one another. Like a long lost friend.
When leaving the pizza restaurant they kissed one last time and Irving looked down, opened up his flipped phone and said "May 19th" Carol looked confused and he added "May 19th, 2008 the start of our relationship."

“You don’t love someone because they’re perfect, you love them in spite of the fact that they’re not.“ ~ Jodi Picoult

We moved to Houston, TX in 2011, Irving wasn't too happy and swore to never wear cowboy boots...oh so he thought...
Soon enough Irving and Carol were hanging out at the Houston Rodeo! Irving loves to wear cowboy boots now :)

Carol started teaching and working in her masters and Irving worked in sales. We never thought that we would make Houston our new home.

Our family grew by 3. And guess who was da boss?!
Rest in Peace Pearl
