Things to do

There are so many amazing things to do around Governor's Harbour! A few of our favorite things are listed below. We recommend soaking up the sun and enjoying the simple beauty the island has to offer however you'd like!

Twin cove beach

A bit further down Banks Road, two little coves are separated by a small patch of sand, that connects the main islet to Bluff Cay and has clear turquoise blue waters on both sides. Bring your camera and snorkel gear to this beach and you can create memories for a lifetime!

Bahama Hand Prints

A favorite boutique walking distance from Buccaneer. All designs are created by local artists and capture the beauty found in the Bahamas. The perfect spot to pick up a souvenir to bring home!

Places to eat

Tippys

Located directly in front of Pineapple Fields Villas, a collection of open-air gazebos that sit right on the beach, the eclectic decor at Tippy’s includes tables made from old shutters and antique piano keyboards hanging from the ceiling. The chalkboard menu changes daily depending on the delivery of local produce and seafood. Tippy's has been featured in Food and Wine, Bon Appetit and the New York Times!

Bacchus

Bacchus is an organic and gourmet market and delicious cafe located right at the top of the hill on Banks Road. A great spot to grab picnic materials and walk to the beach!

Buccaneer Club

In the heart of Governor's Harbour, Buccaneer is one of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat and sip a drink on the spacious patio. Their conch salad is a must, and if you are feeling adventurous, ask for some spice!

Getting Around

Keep in mind there are no Ubers or taxis on the Island. We strongly recommend renting a car from Johnson's Car Rental for post-flight travel.
