Bridget was completely surprised on the night Matt popped the question. It was a Thursday night on December 30th, 2021. We were all going out to eat in downtown Raleigh to celebrate Pam and Greg's 38th wedding anniversary. Their anniversary always falls when everyone is home for the holidays so it isn't uncommon to celebrate together. It was the perfect decoy, and Matt had a photographer hiding at the bar incognito, ready to capture it all.
We had the best table in the house and had great food and drinks. The plan was to ask Bridget after they cleared the table from the main course. Matt didn't expect four trips to the men's room prior due to all the nerves. So to help kill some time and with NYE right around the corner, Maryellen decided we should all go around and say our "rose and thorn" of 2021. Matt said his as did the rest of the group, but then Matt interjected again and let us know he lied about his peak. Matt got down on one knee, down came the tears, out popped the photographer, and the rest is history!
Matt pulled it off without Bridget's keen eyes catching on to anything. It was a perfect evening! We were so happy to spend that very special moment with the Tully's.
We pulled the trigger on a new home in April that’s expected to be completed in late December. It’s in an up and coming area of Jacksonville called E-Town where they are building new homes in multiple communities. We could not be more excited and check on the progress every weekend. Fergie loves our new house too!
Fergie is our 3 year old miniature poodle. She is the snuggliest little girl and has probably traveled to more cities than most humans. She comes with us everywhere we go! Fergie’s hobbies include licking Matt’s face as soon as he opens his eyes in the morning or finding new ways to make sure she and Bridget are in physical contact at all times.

We love traveling and seeing new places any chance we get! We have an ambitious goal to make it to all 50 states. The picture above was taken at Stevie’s 30th Birthday bash in Puerto Escondido, Mexico.
Cintas is what brought Matt and Bridget together. Matt was in a brand new Sales Training & Development Director role and had to hire one manager on the other side of the country, where Bridget was in Denver. Bridget got the job where they got to work together for the next year. Matt and Bridget share a passion for sales and will never forget that year of working side by side. Bridget is now a Sales Manager over Jacksonville and Charleston, so Matt made the move to Jacksonville to make them both official Floridians!
