We first met at a Wine Down Wednesday event in our apartment community, not realizing we were already neighbors in the same building. That night, we connected with a group that became friends, and soon after, we created a GroupMe chat and started calling ourselves the "Wine Down Crew." What began as casual group hangouts quickly turned into something much more special.
As our friendship grew, we focused on enjoying the moment and sharing laughs. Little did we know, those early days would be the start of our forever.
The first family meetup was with Braxton's younger sister, older brother, and sister-in-law in the summer of 2021 when his sister came to stay with him in Marietta, GA. Over the years, we spent the summers together, getting to know each other. Briana later met his parents during our first Easter together when traveling to Braxton's hometown, Birmingham, Alabama. We spent the day with them and other family members, making it a special memory in our journey.
Braxton was first introduced to Briana's family at the annual Christmas party, and they adored him from the start. Everyone said he fit right in.

Our first trip together was to Nashville, TN, to celebrate a friend's birthday. Although we were there for just the weekend, we had a great time catching up with friends and exploring the city.
Our first trip to Chicago together was unforgettable! We explored the city, visited the museum, saw The Bean, indulged in amazing food, and stopped by the LEGO store. We love the architecture, the vibrant culture, and the city's energy. Despite the cold weather and all the walking, we had an amazing time, and from that trip on, Chicago became one of our favorite cities. While we could never see ourselves living there, we’ve made it a tradition to visit once a year!
We celebrated our first New Year with friends and had an absolute blast.
Funny story: In November 2023, Josh (Briana's cousin) got married, and we attended the first wedding as a couple. Dante (Briana's son) was in the wedding party, and it was absolutely beautiful. During the reception, Josh did the garter toss, but at first, none of the guys put their hands out, so they tried again. The second time Josh tossed it, it landed perfectly in Braxton’s hand—no effort. Well, the following May, he proposed!
Our proposal took place at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, which was beautiful, but what made it even more special was that Braxton enlisted the help of Briana's Godparents, family, and friends to make the day unforgettable. The timing was perfect, Briana had no idea that the birthday photo shoot she was doing that day would turn into a proposal!!
