We have over 8 years of memories, stories, pictures, and a whole lot of selfies. This picture is the first one we ever took together.
While most people assume we met in pharmacy school at Oregon State University, we actually met a couple years earlier during undergrad at the University of Oregon (go ducks!). Kayla noticed Austin in microbiology lab during spring term of 2012, but he just remembered her as the girl that kept borrowing micro-pipets, until we officially met later that fall. Austin ended up standing in line behind Kayla to get in to Autzen Stadium for a UO Duck football game when we officially met.
We ended up in crisis intervention together in the fall of 2012 and then anatomy 3 in the spring of 2013. Austin found out that he had been accepted to Oregon State University for Pharmacy School, and would be leaving to Corvallis, so Kayla decided to ask him for help on her post-bach application for UO. We spent the summer hanging out and Kayla decided to apply to OSU for post-bach. Kayla got accepted to OSU for post bach classes and the rest is history...
We have had many adventures together over the years. We have followed each other across the state, from Eugene to Corvallis, back to Eugene, up to Portland, down to Klamath Falls (and Grants Pass for a summer), and then back up to Portland. We've supported each other through all of pharmacy school and residency. We've added two additions to our family (our kitten and our puppy). And now, we are excited to take the next step in our adventure!
