Getting to the wedding
The wedding blessing and reception are just down the road from each other, right next to London's Liverpool St. Station. We're going to walk from the blessing venue to the reception venue.
Our venue is not only very close to where we first lived together (but for those that ever visited, it's a safe distance...), but it's also really convenient for anyone travelling from Ireland, abroad, or really anywhere at all.
Trains and buses from Stansted Airport go direct from Liverpool Street station, otherwise connections to other mainlines into London are really easy from Tube stations and buses nearby. We'll be right in the heart of The City, so there's no car parking, but there are loads of accommodation options.
Getting to see the city
If you're spending some time in London, make the most of your stay with these helpful links:
https://www.timeout.com/london our favourite site for places to go, sites to see, events, bars, restaurant, and pretty much anything else.
https://citymapper.com/london (and download the app) -the easiest way to find your way from A to B on public transport. You can tap in and out with your debit card on buses, trains and Tubes - or get an Oyster Card if you're going to get overseas card fees. Although the best way to see London is on foot, if you can.
As a general rule: stick to Zone 1 for the famous sights, and go exploring neighbourhoods in Zone 2 if you want to get away from tourist central.
Or ask Aoife and Michael if you want any help planning your trip!
