Alaska Sealife Center

Visit our Sea life center located in Seward Alaska. A 2.5 hour from Anchorage or if you take the train and perfect time filler before traveling back north.

Gold mining

Yar be gold in dem der hills!

Two place in and around the wedding venue offer a unique opportunity to find that shiny stuff in some dirt. One in Indian Valley and the other at Crow Creek in Girdwood.

Tram rides

Drift into the clouds and to the top of Mt Alyeska with a leisurely ride in the tram. Enjoy a drink or a meal at the Seven Glaciers or hike around the top of the mountain. For the more die hard mountaineers climb to the top and ride back down free of charge!

Hiking Around Anchorage

There are so many breath taking hikes in and near Anchorage. Most take no more than a few hours and give spectacular views of the city line or mountains or over looking Cook Inlet and Turnagain Arm. The site below offers more information about the different trails how long and how difficult. Don’t forget the bug dope!

Fish On!!

Don’t forget that this time of year is peak fishing season! There are many local places you can get poles and try your luck for a King salmon or get a charter out of Seward or Whittier to catch a barn door Halibut!

Glacier Tours & Kayaking

Lazy Otter fun!

Explore Prince William Sound with Lazy Otter Charters! They offer spectacular catered sight seeing and glacier tours and can offer or help with renting some kayaks to get a more personal view from the water. (My favorite tour company!)

Wildlife Conservation Center

Only a few miles down the road from Girdwood is the Alaska Wildlife conservation center. You’ll have the opportunity to view some of Alaska’s critters from the comfort of your car or walk to check out the animals. You’ll have close up views of moose, foxes and wolves to name a few.

Golf in the midnight sun!

For you golf enthusiast why not play a game under the midnight sun?!? Swing away at a driving range or hit 18 holes at midnight while it’s still light out!

Ride the bore tide!

We are in luck!! The famous bore tides are predicted for three days before and after the wedding between 2-4pm. Find a spot along Turnagain Arm and watch as people with paddle boards ride the wave for miles! Some of the best viewing places are just a few miles from Girdwood along the highway.

Dog sled tours

Like Uber but with Paws!

It’s a long standing tradition that dog sleds have been used in the far north. Now is a chance to see it first hand! Meet the dogs that love to run and see some grand sights! Let’s go Mushing!!
