Paul Ijadunola
Best Man

I first met Frederick in secondary school, it was never an awkward encounter as Fred has always had a contagious laugh and carries undeniable good energy. From our first set of jokes we made about each other, I knew this was a friendship to keep and nourish forever. Although our journey into adulthood wasn’t easy ( because life isn't easy lol), Fred and I always encouraged each other and influenced the great in each other. So, if you ever hear me calling him my son and him claiming the same loool it’s because in a way beneath the banter we truly have played a part in guiding each other in this thing we call life.

Alfonce Chitate
Groomsman

Hi, my name is Alfonce from Zimbabwe, friends with the groom Fred. I don’t recall when I met Fred for the first time, but I knew we quickly became brothers.

From meeting through my high school friend and his university friend (Mopani), sipping whiskey planning a night out, we wouldn’t have guessed that we would eventually share an apartment, go on holidays together (taking him to Southern Africa for the first time), climb the career ladder together, and eventually find our wives lol.

It is an honour to have seen Fred become the man he is and a greater privilege to watch him continue that growth with a strong and beautiful woman by his side. Proud to share their moment with him and Amanda, looking forward to all the blessings to come!

Dan Hammed
Groomsman

Hi my name is Dan & our dearest Frederick is “my first bornnnn" lol

However, on a more serious note Fred and I met at Brunel University through close friends where we all studied. Our friendship since then has blossomed into a brotherhood and still remains today - for that I am very grateful.

We have since shared some of the funniest moments and greatest laughs. I’m sure most people that know Fred know that his positive energy and humour are extremely contagious. Nothing but big smiles, big laughs and bundles of banter when Fred is around. Aside from that, we continue to grow, support one another and celebrate many of life’s milestones together.

Forever proud of the gentleman that he has become and with that it brings me great pleasure to say that I am eagerly excited to celebrate Fred and Amanda’s special day!

Groomsman

I first met Frederick at his Mum’s saloon where they held a birthday party for him. We were roughly aged between 2-4 years old. A few years later we then became reacquainted in St Joachim's primary school. I joined the school in year 4.

When we were reacquainted we did not get on at first nor did we recognise each other. We had no knowledge we knew each other from young until we were in secondary school where a photo of us was shown by his mum. We both again went to the same secondary school St Bonaventure's. From there we became even close as friends. I would most times go to his house after school. We used always watch different shows and keep up with animes like Dragonball z.

Since secondary Fred and I have remained very close and have shared great moments together.

Mopani Mkandawire
Groomsman

Hi, my name is Mopani, aka DaddyMopa/FIFA Freak.

I’m a proud Dad and husband to a wonderful son and a lovely wife. I met Fred at Brunel University. It wasn’t love at first sight, but we kept bumping into each other with mutual friends and were in the same lectures. After realising our worlds were more aligned, we assembled without discussion, especially upon discovering a third mutual friend in freshers’ week. We were very different, but that difference worked like magnets. Initially, it started by competing in everything, like siblings, e.g., video games, clothing, etc. However, that competition soon turned to brotherhood.

We have shared many lifelong memories, but one sticks out vividly: our final exam in the first year of university. Within the first 5 minutes, we looked at each other across the room, caught eye contact, and knew we were about to FAIL! One of the most humiliating but defining moments in our lives. Since that day, we have turned our lives around, grown up together, faced challenges, pushed each other to greatness, and shared magical life memories.
I am proud of my brother and am so pleased he has found a unique, strong, and beautiful person in Amanda who will teach him MANY THINGS LOL (and vice-versa).

YEEEEAAAAAAAH BABBBBBBY!!!!!!!!!!

Tapiwa Nyagumbo
Groomsman

Hi my name Tapiwa, Fred and I started first year of Uni. We were in the same class, we locked eyes at the same time and at that moment, we instantly hated each other!

To re-assure this hate, fate had us put in the same group for First Year Project. This joker, who had
been laughing for the past hour with that jarring laugh of his. I thought “this guy’s not serious”.
Funnily enough, we both then made our way to each other for the inevitable confrontation:

Fred: Mr Shades (already on banter, but I was wearing sunglasses indoors LOL)

Me: Charlie Murphy, what’s going on!

(PAUSE)

Fred: So, we’re in the same group yeah?

Me: Obviously. I was coming over to get organised

Fred: Same, I’m not here to fail so…

Me: What, and I am?

Fred: That’s not what I...

Taps: Look, lets just get serious, get organised, exchange numbers with the group, and have a
meeting in the library this afternoon. We can go over everything then. Right now, I got a lecture to
catch.

Fred: (Slowly smiles with death stare) Kool, I’ll see you later

Me: I’ll see YOU later

(Shake hands and lock eyes…Blinking contest)

It was from this moment, we became RIVALS!

Cut a long story short, Me and Fred actually had a lot in common and similar personalities. We single
handily smashed first year project, despite a useless team, and from that moment We earned each
other’s respect and more importantly another Best Friend!

(P.s He still laughs like a fool to this day! And I still have those glasses!)

Groomsman

I've only known Mr Fred for about 8 years and I can say without a doubt he's one of the most interesting characters I've met in my life. We met through mutual friends during our grad program at BT.

He was down in Ipswich for one of the meetings and causing wahala everywhere. He got scolded by the organiser for bringing a bottle to our table and seemed to enjoy the spotlight.

The next time he was down in Ipswich, he stayed over at mine where we bonded over me whooping him in Fifa relentlessly. He quickly learnt his place.
I hate to admit but he's the reason I got into lifting and he won't shut up about it. As we all know Fred is Mr show off, so he told me to get in the gym and start lifting and again I've beaten him at that.

Since then it's been a very easy brotherly friendship and I've watched him grow year by year into someone I'm very proud to know. He's a thoughtful, caring, fun loving and loyal Ijebu man.

Can't be more happy that he's found the love of his life and they're gonna have a very prosperous marriage.

"True happiness isn't felt by the occurrence of the moment but by those you spend the moment with" - Voltaire Taiwo de Campos

I grew up in a 2-bed 1 box room House with my older brother Fred and Boy was it a roller-coaster, As much as we loved each other we would really go to war when our parents left the house. This being said we would really come together to celebrate our achievements with one another at every available opportunity and make sure it was twice as hard as we would battle each other. This would range from the little things such as scoring a goal when playing football together in the garden to tremendous achievements like getting married.

‘I am my brothers keeper’ this saying is a perfect representation of our relationship as Fred has been for me An older brother , A guide and A mentor
Fred has been there to provide support and care to the family and me in many ways. As an older brother he has contributed to the man I am today.

Theodora Oyins Bakare
Maid of honour
Some call me Oyins, some call me Theodora and some call me Fikayo’s (Amanda’s) younger sister.
She think she’s the leader of the Bakare household, when in fact I actually am (No joke). Fikayo is not only my big sister, she’s also my best friend, my rider and my number one supporter. She always has my back and isn’t afraid to tell me when I’m in the wrong. She has a great heart and is very caring and I am super excited for her and Fred to embark on this new journey together.
I am praying that God will be at the centre of their union and that they will celebrate many happy years together.
Alima Tejan-Jalloh
Bridesmaid
Hi my name is Alima and I met Amanda at university. In uni she always wanted to stay at mine & spend time with me, which initially was concerning lol but then I adjusted & she has managed to stay close by ever since loool. Since then we have shared so many amazing, funny, crazy moments & I look forward to many more. Amanda is such an amazing woman, with a big heart & I am happy she has finally found a great man in Fred! I’m looking forward to this incredible milestone that you are about to embark on & I’ll always be here to support you, laugh with you and celebrate you both!
Busola Ayantuga
Bridesmaid

Hi, I’m Busola, everyone tells you that university is where you find friends for life but I’m truly blessed to have found a sister in Amanda.

Through all the years, we’ve shared so much together and our friendship has only grown from strength to strength and that is testament to our unbreakable bond and the amazing person she is.

I honestly couldn’t imagine my life without her and so it came as no surprise that Fred felt the exact same when he met her. He really came for my best friend title loool but I couldn’t be happier because I’ve never seen two people more equally matched and in love.

I feel so blessed to be a part of their big day and I’m so excited for their next chapter together to begin.

Esther Areola
Bridesmaid
Hi I’m Esther, and I’m Amanda’s sister-in-law.

I could see the joy on my brother Fred’s face the day he mentioned he had met a lovely lady called Amanda. My big sister and I were excited about meeting her, so we made sure that happened ASAP. We soon arranged to meet informally at an ice cream parlour, where we all tried to contain our excitement, but really, my big sister and I already knew she was the ONE for Fred!
Unfortunately, soon after this lockdown hit, we could no longer plan to hang out in person, but fortunately, thanks to technology, we hung out most Friday evenings, for virtual games nights, and that’s how we got to know Our Maggy T (Amanda)!

In such a short time, Amanda has been instrumental, supportive and very present for so many personal moments. Amanda is always willing to lend an ear, along with loving, sisterly advice. What a blessing to be able to boast about all our beautiful memories, but how amazing is it that we have only just begun, and I know we will create even more beautiful moments to hold dear to us forever!

It's honestly such a blessing to say Amanda and I have built a relationship based upon respect, genuine friendship and love- not only because she is my sister-in-law, and I am so honoured to be a part of your most memorable moment, your BIG day!
I pray you both continue to be filled with the unwavering love of God. May God bless your union and I pray the peace and joy of the Lord never depart from your household.
Jodene Mwale
Bridesmaid
Hey Heyyy My name is Jodene and Fikayo (Amanda) is my dearest cousin and big sister.
I would love to share some of our funniest moments but unfortunately, we promised to take them to the grave.
What I can share is how much of an asset she is to my life and how grateful I am to know her.
Although she used to bully me and make me cry when I was younger lol, I truly cherish the relationship we have now and I honestly couldn’t imagine my life without her. To know her truly is to love her.
I can’t express how happy I am that she has finally met her person and I wish her and my lovely bro Fred everlasting happiness, together.
Wura Alake
Bridesmaid

Hi, my name is Wuraola Alake and I am  Fikayo's (Amanda’s) cousin. Fikayo and I met, I think a couple of days after I was born in May 1992. We’ve been family ever since then. We’re both significant members of the Elegbede clan! We are sisters, friends, and family all in one.

Keeping each other secrets and taking care of each other emotionally and physically . I was still teasing her last year that I was so ready for this wedding. We’ve seen each other go through a lot , but I know very well that this union is one full of love, compassion passion, care, and commitment.

I’m very happy that my cousin has found Fred, a husband and a best friend. Love you both to the moon and back!

Yewande Oguntonade
Bridesmaid
Hey! I’m Yewande.
Amanda is someone I can truly call a sister. It’s funny because I can’t even remember the first day we met, it just feels like she’s always been in my life. What ever you want, be it advise or good vibes Amanda is always on board.
To be a part of her big day is an honour and I can’t wait to see her marry the man of her dreams.
Wishing you both many years of blissful marriage and a home full of love.
Yinka Faniku
Bridesmaid
Hi I’m Yinka,
I can’t remember how old I was when I met Fikayo (Amanda), I think around 5 or 6, but I can remember the first day we met vividly; she didn’t say a word to me, regardless of what I said to get her to play with me. Thankfully she was just shy, because little did I know that this silent girl and I, would grow up together and she would become my sister.
We’ve been through many a crazy adventure together and have stories that we’ll remember forever.
I’m so happy I get to be part of this next chapter of her and Fred’s life together and all the amazing chapters to come!
Let’s Gooooo! #Fremanda
