Peter and Alysia first met at the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in Victoria, B.C. at Universities' Model Parliament in 2009. They are both political enthusiasts who love to talk about current affairs, leadership, and elections. They were always friends; best friends and then became each other's most loyal supporters and confidants.
One day, I just looked at Peter as more than just a friend. He made me feel loved without end. I realized that everything that I was always looking for in a man was right in front of me the entire time. He checked every box on my list. He is everything I have ever wanted and more.

For their first date, Alysia and Peter celebrated Canada's 150th birthday at a political BBQ with friends in Kerrisdale, then went downtown to RVYC Coal Harbour to watch the fireworks with Alysia's later-to-be Maid of Honour, Amani.
Alysia and Peter share a love of many things: politics, the British Monarchy, Disney movies, sushi, swimming, and the Hudson's Bay.
Peter proposed right in front of Science World - at the location and on the anniversary date of where and when they first kissed. Then, Alysia's Maid of Honour, Amani, popped out of nowhere to take photos of the newly engaged couple! Peter had planned dinner at CRAFT in Olympic Village where he surprised Alysia with their families and closest friends waiting for the two love birds to arrive and celebrate!
Alysia and Peter have a bright future. They survived living together during the lockdowns after just recently moving in together at the beginning of 2020. If they can get through a global pandemic together, they can take on anything that comes there way!
