Rehearsal Attire: This is very casual event.
Wedding Day Attire: Semi-Formal and feel free to add a western flair
Weather: August is a big swing month for temperature. When the suns out it is very warm to hot. Once the sun sets it can get chilly.
The average temperature in August for a typical day ranges from a high of 74°F and a low of 48°F. Some would describe it as mildly cool comfortable.
Hiking: You will want layers as the morning will be cold and get hotter as the day goes on. You will want very good hiking shoes and socks. Break these in before you hike glacier. Also get bear spray before going in for your hike.
As more questions get asked we will add them to this area
Can I bring my pet(s)?
Our answer...Yes! However the venue has a no pet policy. You will need to board them for the time you are at the venu. Grouse and many other hotels and campsites are pet friendly. They can come inside of the National Park but only in developed areas. That means picnic areas, parking areas, and within 100 feet of the road.
Are there Ubers and Lyfts?
We highly recommend getting a car rental. Or grouping together with others on one. There are few to no ubers or lyfts for this area.
Do I Need to Attend All Events?
We understand that for a lot of you this will turn into a vacation. We want that, please enjoy our beautiful new home! Whether you join us on the activities or go and do you thing we encourage both. Except for the big day we would like you at that one :)
Will Elevation Effect Me?
Most do not notice the elevation. However on hikes take it easy you will most likely find yourself more winded than you thought. Just give your body time to adjust.
This is Bear Country
Montana loves its wildlife. A fed bear is a dead bear, that means, watch food storage and always clean up. If going on hikes bring your bear spray, buddy, and bells or keys to make noise. Bears and other wildlife want nothing to do with you. Noise lets them know you are coming and they will be gone before you can see them.
What do I do I See Wildlife?
A long distance relationship is a healthy one. No matter the critter give it it's space. If to close back up if safe, or step off the trail and let the critter pass.
*See photo for the distance needed not to pop any wildlife's personal buble.
