The ceremony rehearsal is only for the wedding party and attendees who have a "to-do" on the wedding day. The rehearsal will start at 4:00 PM and following the rehearsal we will head directly to The Country Club of North Carolina to join the remainder of our immediate families for the rehearsal dinner.

The Smith family is kindly hosting our rehearsal dinner at the Country Club of North Carolina. The dinner will be held outside, weather permitting, on the terrace.
Please note that the rehearsal dinner is for the wedding party and immediate families. All guests are invited to join following the dinner, from 7:30 - 9:15 PM, for welcome drinks at the venue's cash bar.
Dress code is snappy casual attire (no jeans).
Following the rehearsal dinner, we invite our out of town guests to join us for after dinner drinks outside on the terrace of the clubhouse.
Please note that this is not an official wedding event and ask that you bring cash (yes, real cash :)) for the cash bar.

This is more info than you need
We are asking guests to wear "garden party glamorous cocktail" and fully recognize this is a term we have created. A bespoke dress code created just for our wedding -- how fancy!
What we (Allison) are picturing is a fancy affair where our guests still feel comfortable dancing the night away outside. There will be a dance floor, but ladies, watch out for your heels elsewhere. If Allison and Joseph were guests, then Allison would show up in a fancy garden party-esque chic dress (think floral and fun) with big ol' earrings, a bold lip and block heels. Joseph would be rocking a suit and would probably lose the tie and jacket relatively early in the evening.
The theme of the night is to get fancy, have fun, but don't overthink it! If you are curious if something is appropriate for the night, then we are sure it is. However, if you are just looking for an excuse to do some destination shopping, then Allison fully approves. End of the story -- you do you!

As of now, the Jefferson Inn closes at 10:00 PM. However, we have our fingers crossed for the world to be in a much better place regarding all things COVID by early May. If this is the case, then please feel free to keep the party going! This won't be an official wedding event, but it is a fun place for the folks that feel like 10:00 PM is just too early to stop the fun (looking at you our West Coast crew). We recommend the party revelers all head to the Jefferson Inn in downtown Southern Pines. They have a great outdoor bar and often have live music. From the Inn, there are several additional bars within walking distance.
Please note that taxis and ubers can be hard to come by so keep this in mind while planning your night.
Farewell Brunch
We recognize that many of you travelled from far and wide to celebrate our big day with us. If you are not headed out until later in the day, we would love to have you join us for a lunch at Allison's parents' house before you depart. The brunch will be very low-key and you are welcome to drop-in between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
Dress code: come as you are
A big thank you to my Aunt Lynn and Uncle Robert for generously hosting the brunch!
Please note that the driveway is a mile long and please stay mindful going around corners as folks come and go from the brunch.
