Every good story starts with tacos, and Alisha and Chase's story is no different.
Alisha and Chase met at a local Mexican restaurant along the water with friends during an Art Walk in Downtown Fort Myers in the Summer of 2015. They had fun checking out local art, hanging out at the beach, and grabbing movies with friends together for the first couple weeks following.

For their first date, Chase invited Alisha to go kayaking.
The day of, they were running behind for their reservation. Chased agreed to get the kayaks ready and Alisha picked up Publix subs for their day on the water. When she called to ask Chase what he wanted on his sub, he detailed his favorite, before telling Alisha, “Don’t forget to ask her for the most important ingredient! If you forget everything else, you have to ask her this!” Alisha agreed.
Chase replied “You have to tell her to make it with love!” Alisha laughed, but Chase playfully said, “Pleasee... I'll love you forever!"
And Alisha out of amusement, really did say it. Little did they know what the future held….

A few months went by.
Chase and Alisha went on road trips together, loved talking about business and entrepreneurship, hosted friends for Shark Week parties, went on coffee dates, and grew spiritually as well. They began gathering a list of all of the places to go and activities they wanted to do together.
Over three years went by and they had done everything on their list–except for two: going to the Keys, and going to the batting cages (given Alisha's softball training 15+ years).

Chase had moved from Fort Myers, FL to NYC, and was currently living in Los Angeles, CA. The two of them would take turns, flying to see one another at least once per month.
However, one trip to California was very different than the rest.Chase surprised Alisha by chartering a small boat and had brunch on the water. Right before they left for the boat, he took out a small headset and asked her to put it on. When she did, she realized they were in the Keys together, exploring the area in virtual reality.
But the day wasn’t over! They went to the batting cages next, and had a blast. As they were leaving, Chase pulled out a blank baseball for them to sign and date.
“Did we just get done with everything on our list?!” Alisha asked.

It was sunset now and they were driving along a cliff’s edge as the sun was setting, listening to their favorite songs over the years.
Chase pulled off into a lighthouse parking lot, warm light cast around them. They walked to a beautiful, secluded cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
“Alisha, do you remember our first date, when we went kayaking, and you went to pick us up subs...?”"I have a question for you. And there’s a secret ingredient in this question. And that secret ingredient… is love. Because I want this love to last forever.
Alisha Taber…. Will you marry me?"

Spoiler alert: she said yes!
