Please Log inWEDDING FANCY - ART NOUVEAU/ART DECO INSPIRED.
LIGHT COLOR SCHEME: Ivory, Cream, Silver, Gold, Tan, Light Brown... GOLD is my favorite color! Headwear/accessories/adornment encouraged.
*This will be an outdoor ceremony. Please consider bringing a hat, parasol, and perhaps a little towel or something to sit on, if desired. It can be a bit wild and windy on this cliffside overlook. I anticipate that we will all proceed directly from this Ceremony to the Wedding Reception at The Hotel Maria Cristina.
This will be a whimsical wedding ceremony taking place at "Peine del Viento" at the far end of The Promenade along Bahia de Concha. This is an overlook perched on a cliff at the site of Eduardo Chillida's Sculptures titled "Peine del Viento" meaning "The Comb of the Wind". They are actually musical instruments turning the wind into music. This is one of Alessandra's favorite places in the world as well as one of her favorite sculptures. These sculptures were first introduced to Alessandra by Titi Graciela & Family and would come to influence Alessandra's own artwork - how an artwork can directly interact with its environment, make the invisible visible (in this case audible), and call the viewer's attention to their immediate surroundings.

There will be 2 empty seats at the Wedding Reception in memory of Alessandra's Great Aunt "Titi" Graciela & Great Uncle "Tío" Nicanor Zabaleta. They were Alessandra's role models and some of the only family she had nearby while growing up in Puerto Rico. Tio Nicanor died in Puerto Rico in 1993 and Titi Graciela died surrounded by family in Madrid in November 2017 at the age of 89. Both now are resting in peace in the cemetery up on top of the mountain overlooking all of magnificent San Sebastian.
