Biola and Drew's story began at the car park of a party venue. I'm sure most of you already know the story: the girl sees the boy and rolls down her window.
After Biola gave Drew her number, he texted her within a few minutes to ensure she got home safely. The next day, they spent 3 hours on the phone, getting to know each other. Biola had a gut feeling that this was it, and that feeling became certain on their third date.
Biola and Drew's third date was a picnic at Southend Beach. It was meant to be a lovely sunny day, but on the way there, Biola was feeling anxious and couldn't understand why. She decided to pray about it once they reached Southend. She requested Drew to excuse her for about 10 minutes alone, but instead, Drew grabbed her hand and prayed with her. It was in that moment that she knew she wanted to spend her life with him.
Biola and Drew's journey towards their proposal began approximately 3 months into their relationship, about 3 years prior to the actual date. During a day out at Selfridges, Biola tried on engagement rings to discern her preferences, and Drew captured an image of the finest ring while also taking precise measurements.
Skipping ahead to September 2021, around 8 months before the proposal date, Drew undertook the task of finding a jeweller to craft the ring, all while searching for a suitable venue. Since Biola had often expressed her desire to be engaged in Italy, Drew decided to make her 28th birthday in May 2023 truly special by taking her to Italy to celebrate and propose.
In preparation, Drew coordinated with Biola's manager to arrange time off and meticulously planned the journey. On the day of the proposal, after enjoying lunch near the Giardino Garzoni, Pescia, Drew discreetly set up a photographer. As they explored the park, Drew suggested climbing a set of stairs for photographs, where the photographer remained hidden. Upon reaching the top, Drew knelt down and proposed to Biola, to which she joyfully accepted, sealing the beginning of their shared history.
