How much time do you have...? Okay let's keep it simple.
In September 2013, a wide-eyed Freshman at UPenn, Abha successfully tried out for the Classical & Bollywood Fusion dance teams. As the first stop on her "Initiation Night," she visited Abhishek's (then a Junior) apartment, where Abha sang her heart out to one of the year's greatest hits: What Does the Fox Say. Trust us, it was a big deal in 2013... Abhishek sent Abha on her way to her next stop, regretting why he didn't ask for her phone number.
After a few "hello's" and "how are you's" in the halls of campus, Abhishek ran into Abha at a party. They spent the whole night hanging out, finally getting to know each other. Abhishek walked Abha home on a cold, frigid night; and although Abhishek once again failed to get her number (it's a trend!), Abha unwittingly went back to her room wearing Abhishek's jacket.
Plans were made via Facebook Messenger (yes, people our age still used it back then) to return the jacket. Abhishek finally scored Abha's number, and finally a full 2 months after meeting, they started seeing each other. While they can't pinpoint their first date, their favorite picture is this candid photo from the night Abhishek took Abha to his fraternity's "Ugly Christmas Sweater Formal." Abhishek didn't own an Ugly Christmas Sweater yet, so he wore a 12 Days of Christmas tie... he's since remedied this issue (click the arrow to the right for proof).
