The Sangeet is a unique Hindu pre-wedding ceremony to celebrate the union of two families. It is an event that promises to kick-off the festivities with some fun, laughter, and tingling taste buds. Traditionally, the Sangeet is a time for music and dance and an opportunity for all of the guests to familiarize themselves with each other prior to the wedding.
Time travel back to our favorite musical era! For this event, we will plan to honor tradition but with a contemporary twist. We officially welcome you to Yash and Chandni’s Sangeet Night: ‘A Trip Down Bollywood Lane.’
This event will mark the official start of wedding festivities! There will be plenty of food, drinks, and mendhi (henna) for those interested.
The best way to access the hotels from the airport is to rent a car.
There will be complimentary valet parking available at each of the event sites. We strongly recommend the use of a rental car or Uber/Lyft.
A small number of shuttles will be provided for those unable to secure a ride. This option is reserved primarily for our international guests.
There are two entrances with two different gates to Saddlerock Ranch. Please enter through the gate that has "Middle Gate" written on it.
The Middle Gate is located about 0.7 miles from Kanan Road on the right side. Do NOT go into the first gate which is 0.5 miles from Kanan Road. Drive through the entrance (do not veer right) and stay on the paved road. Pull up on the circular driveway and a valet attendant will park your car.
Indian or western cocktail / party. Feel free to dress like a Bollywood star!
(Be comfortable and ready to dance!)
Please note that there will be grass throughout this venue and we recommend low heels or flats for women.
The Hindu wedding involves a traditional ceremony that solidifies the sacred union of wife and husband as per Vedic ritual. Over the years, many interpretations of the Hindu marriage have been adopted. The important elements of our wedding that we would like to espouse include the reciprocal promises to care for, love, and support each other forever. This ceremony again will be a fusion between traditional and more modern rituals.
The wedding ceremony will begin with a Baarat (all are invited, from both Chandni and Yash's sides) followed by the wedding ceremony. A lively dinner will end the night.
Indian or western semi-formal.
This venue will also have some grassy areas, so please feel free to wear low heels or flats.
Along with the union of Chandni and Yash, June 19th or Juneteenth is celebrated for humanity's perseverance and resolve to collectively overcome prejudices and inequalities that have been inflicted on marginalized people, especially in the last millennium. Let's at once pay homage to all the generations that have come before us who secured a more just and equal world for all of us and also commit to making it even more so for everyone across the far reaches of the globe. Frederick Douglass once said, "I prayed for freedom for twenty years, but received no answer until I prayed with my legs." Let's heed this to guide our actions beyond mere words to do our part to advance equality and justice for all.

Please join us in welcoming the newly wed couple for the first time! This will be the grand finale of the wedding with food, drinks, dancing and only a couple of speeches.
Although the outfits will be formal, this will be a more casual event with a modern flair.
Indian or western formal. Please bring your dance shoes!
This event is outdoors so please dress accordingly!
