South Africa is where it all started...
Ju, Bela's sister, was born in South Africa in 1993. A few years after Ju passed away in 2011, Paula and Rodrigo allowed Bela to spend some time in different countries worldwide. In 2012, Bela went to Panama and stayed at Steve and Carol DuToit's for a few weeks. In 2013, Bela went to South Africa for two months to study English and stayed at Penny and Dave Haig's house (Bela drove Penny a bit crazy, but she is so thankful for this opportunity.....).
Katharina, Sven's mom, was the main driver for Sven to go abroad when he was 20 years old. As Sven finished his military duty for Switzerland, he left for Capetown to sharpen his English, meet new friends, and expand his horizons. Sven stayed first with a local family and later on also experienced living in a student house next to the Good Hope Studies School.
Bela and Sven both arrived in Cape Town in early December 2013. They had the same level of English at that time and became colleagues on the first day of school. But... this was not love at first sight; Bela did not like Sven much, and Sven did not pay much attention to Bela.
Sven had parents that taught him how to be open-minded and showed him the world, so Sven was very open to different cultures (especially the Brazilian one!). Sven and Bela continued studying and spending time together, usually drinking and partying hahaha. During that time, Bela and Sven became very good friends.
Bela stayed in Cape Town until January 2014, and Sven stayed until mid-March. One day before Bela left, Sven was at home hangover, and before school, she made him pancakes and gave him a picture with a small letter written on the back saying, "Sven, it is amazing how I had to travel to South Africa to meet one of the nicest and most self-confident guys in the world! I hope you have luck in your life and that you realize all your dreams. I wish you all the best and hope to see you soon. Love, Izabela".
After they left South Africa, they regularly kept in touch...
Foi na África do Sul que tudo começou...
A Ju, irmã da Bela, nasceu na África do Sul em 1993. Alguns anos após a morte da Ju em 2011, Paula e Rodrigo permitiram que Bela passasse um tempo em diferentes países do mundo. Em 2012, Bela foi para o Panamá e ficou na casa do Steve e Carol DuToit por algumas semanas. Em 2013, Bela foi para a África do Sul por dois meses para estudar inglês e ficou na casa da Penny e Dave Haig.
Katharina, mãe de Sven, foi o principal motivo pelo qual Sven decidiu ir para o exterior. Quando ele tinha 20 anos, ao terminar o serviço militar na Suíça, Sven foi para a Cidade do Cabo para aperfeiçoar seu inglês, conhecer novos amigos e expandir seus horizontes. Sven ficou inicialmente com uma família local e mais tarde experimentou viver em uma casa de estudantes ao lado da Escola Good Hope Studies.
Bela e Sven chegaram ambos à Cidade do Cabo no início de dezembro de 2013. Eles tinham o mesmo nível de inglês e foram colocados na mesma sala no primeiro dia de aula. Mas... não foi amor a primeira vista; Bela não gostou do Sven de primeira, e Sven não prestou muita atenção na Bela.
Sven tem pais que lhe ensinaram a ter uma mente aberta e lhe mostraram o mundo, então Sven era já muito aberto a diferentes culturas (especialmente a brasileira)! Sven e Bela continuaram estudando e passando tempo juntos, geralmente bebendo e festejando, hahaha. Durante esse tempo, Bela e Sven se tornaram bons amigos.
Bela ficou na Cidade do Cabo até janeiro de 2014, e Sven até meados de março. Um dia antes da Bela ir embora, Sven estava em casa de ressaca, e antes de ir a escola, Bela preparou panquecas e lhe deu uma foto com uma foto e pequena carta escrita no verso dizendo: "Sven, é incrível como tive que viajar para a África do Sul, para conhecer um dos caras mais simpáticos e autoconfiantes do mundo! Espero que você tenha sorte em sua vida e que realize todos os seus sonhos. Te desejo tudo de bom e espero te rever em breve. Com amor, Izabela".
Depois que deixaram a África do Sul, eles mantiveram contato regularmente…
Luisa has been one of Bela´s best friends since Bela was nine years old.
Bela has Italian citizenship and attended her High School at Fondazione Torino, an Italian School in Brazil. Luisa lived in Rome with her parents and siblings when she was younger.
Bela and Luisa both had connections with Italy and decided to make a two-month trip to Italy together. Starting in December 2014, they went to Milan, Padova, Verona, Venezia, and Roma and spent a month in Firenze studying Italian, Bela studying Cucina & Vino, and Luisa studying Storia dell'Arte. It was a beautiful trip!
On the first days of the trip, Sven went from Zürich to Milan by train to meet Bela and Luisa for a weekend. They all met at Stazione Duomo, and of course, they went shopping. Sven loves shopping! Also, Sven is swiss and follows the rules. Luisa and Bela always crossed the street when the traffic lights were red, but no cars were coming; Sven always waited until the traffic lights turned green.
In the evening, they went to the supermarket, bought good Italian food and wine, got ready, pre-drank, and decided to go to a club. At the club, Sven ordered a bottle of Grey Goose with small fireworks that made the whole club notice their presence. They got very drunk, danced a lot, and in the end, the club lost Luisa´s coat. Bela, as always, got very protective of Luisa and wanted to give Luisa her coat. Bela and Luisa had a drunken fight. Sven was lost trying to make peace between the friends and finally ordered in Italian a cab to return to the Airbnb. Once they arrived at the Airbnb, Bela and Luisa made peace.
The summary of this trip was Luisa and Sven met for the first time, a lot of money was spent, and a lot of alcohol was consumed. They all had a lot of fun, and Sven returned home with a broken phone.
Bela and Luisa continued having a beautiful and great trip around Italy and returned home end of January 2015.
The end of this trip marked a very important milestone in Bela´s life and consequently in Bela and Sven´s relationship: on the way to Milano Malpensa, Bela decided she would move to Italy by the end of that year to study her bachelor's…
Luísa é uma das melhores amigas da Bela desde nove anos de idade.
Bela tem cidadania italiana e frequentou o ensino médio na Fundação Torino, uma escola italiana no Brasil. Luísa viveu em Roma por um ano com seus pais e irmãos quando era criança.
Bela e Luísa sempre tiveram conexões fortes com a Itália e em 2014, decidiram fazer juntas uma viagem de dois meses pela Itália. Elas começaram em dezembro de 2014 e foram para Milão, Pádua, Verona, Veneza, Roma e passaram um mês em Florença estudando italiano, Bela estudando Cucina & Vino e Luísa estudando Storia dell'Arte. Foi uma viagem linda demais!
Nos primeiros dias da viagem, Sven foi de trem de Zurique para Milão, encontrar Bela e Luísa durante um final de semana. Todos se encontraram na Stazione Duomo e, é claro, foram às compras. Sven adora fazer compras! Como um bom suíço, Sven sempre segue as regras, já Luísa e Bela sempre atravessavam a rua quando os semáforos estavam vermelhos e Sven sempre esperava até que os semáforos ficassem verdes.
Naquela noite, eles foram ao supermercado, compraram boa comida e vinho italiano e fizeram um "esquenta" para ir a uma boate. Chegando lá, Sven pediu uma garrafa de Grey Goose que veio com pequenos fogos de artifício, que fizeram com que todo o clube notasse a presença deles. Eles ficaram muito bêbados, dançaram muito e no final, a boate perdeu o casaco da Luísa. Bela, como sempre, muito protetora da Luísa, quis dar seu casaco para ela... Foi quando tiveram uma briga de bêbadas. Enquanto isso, Sven estava perdidinho tentando fazer as pazes entre as amigas e organizar um táxi, arranhando um italiano, para voltar ao Airbnb. Quando chegaram, Bela e Luísa fizeram as pazes, e quando Sven saiu para a varanda, seu telefone caiu da varanda.
O resumo desta viagem foi: Luísa e Sven se encontraram pela primeira vez, muito dinheiro foi gasto, e muito álcool foi consumido! Todos se divertiram muito, e Sven voltou para casa com o telefone quebrado.
Bela e Luísa continuaram fazendo uma linda viagem pela Itália e voltaram para casa no final de janeiro de 2015.
O final desta viagem representou um marco muito importante na vida da Bela e consequentemente na relação entre Bela e Sven: voltando daquela viagem, Bela decidiu mudar para a Itália no final daquele ano, para cursar a Universidade naquele pais…
Bela moved to Lecco in September 2015 to study Ingegneria della Produzione Industriale (Politecnico di Milano). Rodrigo went with her to help her settle and went back to Brazil at the end of September. Sven and Bela were regularly in touch, so in late November, Sven went to Italy again to meet Bela. They met in Milano, Sven made Bela try Castagne / Marroni for the first time, and they had an aperitivo at a nice bar; Sven slept one night in Lecco and went back home the day after.
Paula and Rodrigo went to Italy to spend Christmas and New Year's Eve with Bela. They met in Milano, spent Christmas in Rome, spent lovely days in Bologna, and decided to go back to Lecco to spend New Year's Eve with Laura and Stefania (Bela´s friends). When they were in the car going to Lecco, Sven wrote Bela a WhatsApp message saying that his New Year's Eve plans had been canceled and that he did not know what to do. Bela then invited Sven to go to Lecco and spend the evening with her parents and friends.
On the 31-Dec 2015, Sven arrived in Lecco and met Paula and Rodrigo for the first time. As the gentleman he is, he brought bottles of Amarone della Valpolicella and delicious Swiss Chocolate. They all liked each other and they all had a great New Year´s Eve together! On 01-Jan, Sven returned home, and Bela continued living in Lecco until June 2016...
Bela mudou para Lecco em setembro de 2015 para estudar Engenharia de Produção Industrial (Politécnico de Milão). Rodrigo foi com ela para ajudá-la a se estabelecer e retornou ao Brasil no final de setembro.
Sven e Bela mantiveram contato e no final de novembro, Sven foi novamente à Itália para se encontrar com Bela. Eles se encontraram em Milão, Sven fez Bela experimentar Castagne / Marroni pela primeira vez, e eles tiveram um aperitivo em um bar legal; Sven dormiu uma noite em Lecco e voltou para casa no dia seguinte. Não rolou nada, eles eram só amigos.
Paula e Rodrigo foram à Itália para passar o Natal e o Ano Novo com Bela. Eles se encontraram em Milão, passaram o Natal em Roma, passaram dias lindos em Bolonha e decidiram voltar a Lecco para passar o Ano Novo com Laura e Stefania (amigas da Bela). Quando eles estavam no carro indo para Lecco, Sven mandou uma mensagem para Bela dizendo que seus planos de Ano Novo haviam sido cancelados e que ele não sabia o que fazer. Bela então convidou Sven para ir a Lecco e passar a noite com seus pais e amigas.
Em 31 de dezembro de 2015, Sven chegou em Lecco e conheceu Paula e Rodrigo pela primeira vez. Como o cavalheiro que é, ele trouxe garrafas de Amarone della Valpolicella e deliciosos Chocolates Suíços. O clima do Ano Novo foi ótimo e todos tiveram um lindo Réveillon juntos!
Em 01-Jan, Sven volto para casa na Suíça, e Bela continuou morando em Lecco até junho de 2016...
Lecco had always been Bela's second option, and she was not happy there. In 2016, she passed her exam to enter Politecnico di Torino and decided to transfer her university from Lecco to Turin. In July 2016, once Bela completed her first year at the university, she packed all her bags, left them at a friend´s house in Turin, and went to Brazil to enjoy the holidays.
At some point in 2016, when Bela and Sven were talking, Sven suggested traveling together, and, as a good Brazilian, Bela invited Sven to go to Brazil. Little did she know that Sven would actually accept the invite and, with that, change both their lives.
The initial plan was for Sven to stay in Brazil for three weeks, but he ended up staying for five. Sven was staying at Bela's parent's place. Bela and Sven traveled together to Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Brasilia, drinking many caipirinhas, enjoying many parties, and meeting wonderful people!
On 06-Aug, after the Opening of the Olympic Games, Sven and Bela went to a party with friends and, at the end of that night, they ended up kissing for the first time. As a good Swiss Sven is, for him this first kiss meant they were officially dating.
Paula and Rodrigo then had to get to know the new version of Sven: the boyfriend version...
Lecco sempre tinha sido a segunda opção da Bela, e ela não estava feliz lá. Em 2016, ela passou no teste para entrar no Politécnico de Turim e decidiu transferir sua universidade de Lecco para Turim. Em julho de 2016, quando Bela completou seu primeiro ano na universidade, ela fez as malas, as deixou na casa de uma amiga em Turim e foi para o Brasil para aproveitar as férias.
Em algum momento de 2016, quando Bela e Sven estavam conversando, Sven sugeriu viajar juntos e, como boa brasileira, Bela convidou Sven para ir ao Brasil, mal sabia ela que Sven aceitaria de fato o convite e, com isso, mudaria de vez a vida dos dois.
O plano inicial era que Sven ficasse no Brasil por três semanas, mas ele acabou ficando por cinco. Sven estava hospedado na casa dos pais de Bela. Bela e Sven viajaram juntos para São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro e Brasília, bebendo muitas caipirinhas, curtindo muitas festas, e encontrando pessoas maravilhosas!
Dia 06 de agosto, após a abertura dos Jogos Olímpicos, Sven e Bela foram a uma festa com amigos e, no final daquela noite, acabaram se beijando pela primeira vez. Como um bom suíço que Sven é, para ele este primeiro beijo significava que eles estavam namorando oficialmente. Paula e Rodrigo então tiveram que conhecer a nova versão de Sven: ele passou de melhor amigo para a "namorado gringo"...
The first time Bela went to Zürich was in September 2016. Traveling by train from Turin-Milan, Sven picked her up at Zürich HB and took her to Katharina and Marc's house, where Sven still lived.
This first weekend, Bela and Sven went around Zurich and took this photograph on the highest church tower in the city, overviewing the great lake of Zurich.
Bela was positively surprised by the warmth of Sven´s family. They were always welcoming, open-minded, kind, sportive, and loving.
This was the first weekend of almost five years for Bela and Sven to travel by train, bus, or plane to see each other at least twice a month to spend time together...
A primeira vez que Bela foi a Zurique foi em setembro de 2016. Bela viajou de trem de Turim para Milão, Sven a buscou na Estação de Zurique e a levou para a casa de Katharina e Marc, onde Sven vivia naquela época.
Neste primeiro fim de semana, Bela e Sven passearam por Zurique e tiraram esta foto na torre da igreja mais alta da cidade, com uma vista linda do grande lago de Zurique.
Bela ficou positivamente surpresa com o acolhimento da família do Sven. Eles sempre foram muito acolhedores, com mentalidade muito aberta, gentis, esportivos e muito carinhosos.
Este foi o primeiro de quase cinco anos de finais de semana em que Bela e Sven viajaram de trem, ônibus ou avião para se verem pelo menos duas vezes por mês para passarem tempo juntos...
In April 2017, it was time for the mothers of the couple to meet each other for the first time. The occasion was Bela's 22nd birthday, and the four of them wanted to celebrate together.
Sven went to Turin with his mother by train; Paula had already arrived by plane from Brazil; Bela and Paula met Sven and Katharina at the train station. Bela and Sven were very happy they had the most important women in their life having a good time together.
During this trip, they rented a car and drove through the Piemonte together. The most important stop was at the Winery Fontana Fredda where they tried for the first time the Pradalupo (Roero Arneis) white wine from Fontana Fredda. Until today this is the couple's favorite white wine...
Em abril de 2017, chegou a hora das mães do casal se encontrarem pela primeira vez. A ocasião era o aniversário de 22 anos Bela, e os quatro resolveram comemorar juntos.
Sven foi para Turim com Katharina de trem; Paula já tinha chegado de avião do Brasil. Bela e Paula se encontraram com Sven e Katharina na estação de trem. Bela e Sven estavam muito felizes por terem as mulheres mais importantes de sua vida se divertindo juntas.
Durante esta viagem, eles alugaram um carro e passearam juntos pelo Piemonte. A parada mais importante foi na Vinícola Fontana Fredda onde experimentaram pela primeira vez o vinho branco Pradalupo (Roero Arneis) da Fontana Fredda. Até hoje, este é o vinho branco favorito do casal...
In September 2017, Bela started her Erasmus in Athlone, Ireland. It was a great opportunity for Bela to explore a new country and learn to drink beer (by drinking Guinness, of course)! But it was also difficult for Bela; she struggled with the countryside, with the cold, and missed the sun a lot.
Sven and Bela did some trips with the school; they met once a month and enjoyed a lot of beers together.
Bela went back to Italy in May 2018, when she started her internship at KPMG...
Em setembro de 2017, Bela iniciou seu Erasmus em Athlone, Irlanda. Foi uma grande oportunidade para Bela explorar um novo país e aprender a beber cerveja (bebendo Guinness, é claro)! Mas também foi difícil para Bela; ela lutou com a vida no interior, com o frio, e sentiu muita falta do sol.
Sven e Bela fizeram algumas viagens com a escola pela Irlanda; eles se encontravam uma vez por mês e bebiam muitas cervejas juntos.

As with every story, Bela and Sven's is not only made of beautiful memories. Bela and Sven broke up for a few months in the year 2018, between the time Bela was starting her internship at KPMG and Sven going to Lisbon for his Erasmus.
They got back together in October 2018, stronger than ever. This picture was taken in 2018, during Christmas at Sibylle and Heiner's place, and as this moment shows, they were very happy that they were back together again...
Como em toda história real, a da Bela e Sven não é feita apenas de boas lembranças. Bela e Sven terminaram o relacionamento por alguns meses no ano de 2018, entre a época em que Bela estava iniciando seu estágio na KPMG e Sven indo para Lisboa para seu Intercâmbio.
Eles se reencontraram em outubro de 2018, e se reconectaram mais fortes do que nunca. Esta foto foi tirada em 2018, durante o Natal na casa de Sibylle e Heiner, e como este momento demonstra, eles estavam muito felizes por estarem novamente juntos...
Sven lived in Lisbon from September 2018 until May 2019, doing his second year of his Bachelor's in International Management. Sven enjoyed a lot his time in Lisbon, met new friends, and partied very hard.
Bela and Sven met once a month and enjoyed the sun, high temperatures, and low cost of life (especially beer and wine) in Portugal.
This picture was taken at Martinho da Arcada when Marc, Katharina, Miriam (Sven's godmother), Stefan, and Tim were in Lisbon visiting Sven. This was a great trip, and they all had a lot of fun!!
Sven morou em Lisboa de setembro de 2018 até maio de 2019, fazendo seu segundo ano de Universidade em International Management. Sven aproveitou muito seu tempo em Lisboa, conheceu novos amigos e se divertiu muito.
Bela e Sven se encontravam uma vez por mês e aproveitavam o sol, as altas temperaturas e o baixo custo de vida (especialmente cerveja e vinho) em Portugal.

Bela graduated from Politecnico di Torino, Ingegneria della Produzione Industriale, in July 2019.
Bela's parents, Sven and his parents, traveled to Italy to spend a few days there, and also Bela's cousins, Luis Felipe, and Bela's friends Cicero, Clara, and Kathy were there.
The group went to their favorite restaurant together, "Osteria al Tagliere,", and also to La Prosseccheria, Mora dei Boschi, and Mercato Centrale. Finally, on Graduation Day they had lunch at Eria, and together they had a beautiful celebration.
This was the first time Bela and Sven's fathers met each other and the first time Sven's parents met Bela's friends. It was a beautiful trip and a very special moment for the couple!
Bela se formou em Engenharia de Produção Industrial no Politécnico de Turim, em julho de 2019.
Os pais da Bela, Sven e seus pais, Luis Felipe (primo da Bela) e Kathy (amiga da Bela) viajaram para a Itália para passar alguns dias com ela e comemorar juntos a formatura. Os amigos da Bela que moravam na Itália, Cícero e Clara, também estavam lá.
O grupo foi ao restaurante favorito do casal, "Osteria al Tagliere", e também ao La Prosseccheria, Mora dei Boschi, e Mercato Centrale. Finalmente, no dia da formatura eles almoçaram, e juntos fizeram uma bela festa.
Esta foi a primeira vez que os pais da Bela e do Sven se conheceram e a primeira vez que os pais do Sven conheceram os amigos da Bela. Foi uma linda viagem e um momento muito especial para o casal!
After Bela's Graduation in September 2019, she started working as Consultant at KPMG Italy.
In March 2020, when the pandemic exploded, Bela was in Italy. This was a very hard time in Bela´s life; Italy had very strong restrictions, and Bela started living the home office life, which until today never ended.
Sven was living in Switzerland, and with all the Italian restrictions, their bi-monthly trips had to be canceled, and they could not meet until June 2020.
In June, they met in Lugano. They had beautiful days at a nice hotel, eating delicious Italian food, doing sports, and visiting beautiful places!
After that, Bela went back to Turin, and Sven went to Zürich. Later that year, as Bela reflected on the purpose of her life in Italy, she decided to make a change: after almost five years in a long-distance relationship, she decided to move to Switzerland to live with Sven...
Depois da formatura da Bela em setembro de 2019, ela começou a trabalhar como Consultora na KPMG Itália.
Em março de 2020, quando a pandemia explodiu, Bela estava na Itália. Este foi um momento muito difícil na vida da Bela; a Itália tinha muitas restrições , e foi quando ela começou a viver a vida de "home office", que até hoje não terminou.
Sven estava vivendo na Suíça, e com todas as restrições italianas, as viagens mensais do casal tiveram que ser canceladas. O casal não pôde se encontrar até junho de 2020.
Em junho, eles se encontraram em Lugano. Eles tiveram dias lindos em um hotel maravilhoso, comendo deliciosa comida italiana, praticando esportes e visitando lugares lindos!
Depois disso, Bela voltou para Turim, e Sven para Zurique. Mais tarde naquele ano, enquanto Bela refletia sobre o propósito de sua vida na Itália, ela decidiu fazer uma mudança: após quase cinco anos de relacionamento a distância, ela decidiu mudar para a Suíça para morar com Sven...
On the 22nd January 2021, Bela took her last train from Turin to Zürich. Sven took this pic as he picked her up at Zürich HB. They went to Marc and Katharina's house, where Sven was still living at the time, and drank a bottle of Ferrari and a Barolo. They were very happy with this new step their relationship was taking.
A few days later, they got the keys to their apartment in Winterthur, and with the help of Marc, Katharina, and Gregor, they got the furniture installed at their new home.
Living together was not easy. They had to make several compromises and life adjustments to one another. They had to get used to seeing each other all the time. But, they were finally able to spend quality time together without having to travel 12 hours per weekend. They were able to drink wine and watch their series until late Sunday evening. They were able to share every single moment of life together, and they finally had a place to call home... as "Home is where the heart is"...
Em 22 de janeiro de 2021, Bela pegou seu último trem de Turim para Zurique. Sven tirou esta foto quando ele buscou a Bela na estação de Zurique. Eles foram para a casa de Marc e Katharina, onde Sven ainda vivia na época, e para comemorar, beberam uma garrafa de Ferrari e outra de Barolo. Eles estavam muito felizes com este novo ciclo na relação dos dois.
Alguns dias depois, receberam as chaves do apartamento deles em Winterthur, e com a ajuda de Marc, Katharina e Gregor, conseguiram instalar os móveis em sua nova casa.
A convivência não foi fácil. Eles tiveram que se adaptar um a vida do outro, tiveram que se acostumar a ver um ao outro o tempo todo, mas por outro lado, finalmente puderam passar um tempo de qualidade juntos sem ter que viajar 12 horas por fim de semana. Conseguiram beber vinho e assistir a séries que gostavam até tarde da noite nos domingos. Eles puderam compartilhar cada momento da vida juntos, e finalmente tiveram um lugar para chamar de lar... porque "Lar é onde o coração faz morada"...
In June 2021, Dinorah (Bela´s grandmother) had COVID. Dinorah and Bela are very close, so when Bela got the news, she was very emotional. Bela considered going to Brazil to be with her, but she was not fully vaccinated yet. Bela then called Dinorah and asked her what she could do to help her grandma get better from far away. Dinorah thought for a while, called her back, and said: you and Sven could get engaged!
Bela and Sven took this as a joke, and of course, Sven said he would accept getting engaged if this meant Dinorah would be fine.
Once Dinorah got better, she called Bela and asked for the size of her and Sven´s rings (omg!). This was a big surprise that they were not expecting. A very big cultural difference presented itself, and Bela and Sven reconsidered the decision and decided to cancel the engagement.
In August, Sven went to Colombia for two weeks with friends, and Bela went for three weeks to Brazil. At the end of Sven´s trip to Colombia, he would fly to Brazil. On the morning of his trip, Marc called Sven and gave him the sad news that Momi (Sven´s grandmother) had passed away.
After Sven arrived in Brazil, Bela and Sven talked and decided that based on all the circumstances that had happened over the year, they would go ahead with the Engagement in Brazil. This picture was taken on that day. Luísa was the master of the ceremony, and Sven said the most beautiful words to Bela (in Portuguese!), and they have engaged using the ring Dinorah gave them since then...
Em junho de 2021, Dinorah (avó da Bela) teve COVID. Dinorah e Bela são muito próximas, então quando recebeu a notícia, ela ficou muito abalada, e considerou ir para o Brasil para estar com a avó, porém ela ainda não tinha tomado todas as doses da vacina de COVID. Bela então ligou para Dinorah e lhe perguntou o que ela poderia fazer para ajudar sua avó a melhorar, ela pensou por um tempo, ligou de volta, e disse: você e Sven poderiam ficar noivos!
Bela e Sven levaram isto na brincadeira, e claro, Sven disse que aceitaria o noivado se isto significasse que Dinorah ficaria bem.
Assim que Dinorah melhorou, ela ligou para Bela e pediu o tamanho dos anéis dela e do Sven (Nossa Senhora da Aparecida / Curitiba)!! Essa foi uma grande surpresa que eles não estavam esperando. Uma diferença cultural muito grande se apresentou, e Bela e Sven reconsideraram a decisão e decidiram cancelar o noivado.
Em agosto, Sven foi para a Colômbia por duas semanas com amigos, e Bela foi para o Brasil por três semanas. No final da viagem de Sven para a Colômbia, ele voaria para o Brasil, na manhã de sua viagem, Marc ligou para Sven e lhe deu a triste notícia de que Momi (avó de Sven) havia falecido.
Após a chegada de Sven no Brasil, Bela e Sven conversaram e decidiram que de acordo com as circunstâncias que haviam acontecido e por amor às avós, eles iriam em frente com o noivado no Brasil. Esta foto foi tirada naquele dia. Luísa foi a mestre de cerimonias e Sven fez o discurso mais lindo do mundo (em português!), e eles estão noivos usando o anel que Dinorah lhes deu desde então...
On the 18th of August 2023, we celebrated our Civil Wedding in the city where we live, Winterthur. It was a very small ceremony with our parents, Sven’s grandmother and partner, our witnesses, and partners. Afterwards, we had some drinks in the garden with a larger group and went for dinner at Schloss Wülflingen. Initially, we were not expecting much from the civil wedding, but it will be forever marked as one of the happiest days of our lives. We can't wait to experience it all again in Brazil in April 2024!
Em 18 de agosto de 2023, celebramos nosso Casamento Civil na cidade onde moramos, Winterthur. Foi uma cerimônia muito pequena com nossos pais, avó e parceiro de Sven, nossas testemunhas e parceiros. Depois, tomamos algumas bebidas no jardim com um grupo maior e fomos jantar no Schloss Wülflingen. Inicialmente, não esperávamos muito do casamento civil, mas isso será marcado para sempre como um dos dias mais felizes de nossas vidas. Mal podemos esperar para viver tudo isso novamente no Brasil em abril de 2024!
