February 2022:
We first met at our church, Trent Vineyard in Nottingham. Beth and Tom played a game of pool in the youth centre on the student weekend away in February last year. Little did they know that was the start of a great relationship. They are both a part of a great small group and church community with great friends here.
Early April 2022
Tom got baptised at his home church in Luton, and Beth was introduced to all family and friends after only being 'official' for two days!
April 2022
We went on the university ski trip with lots of our friends and enjoyed attempting some black runs and socialising
As we got to know each other more and more, we shared our love for exploring nature and took great trips to the Peak District near Nottingham between studies.
June 2022
Beth graduated from her Biology degree and Tom entered his 4th year in Accounting and business
July 2022
We both went on a girl’s and lad's holiday to Split which somehow managed to overlap in the same location and time. Funny coincidence that!
July 2022
Beth broke quite a few bones while working at Wimbledon Championships after a nasty bike accident. This threw a spanner in the mix for the rest of the summer but we still had a great time.
Septemeber 2022
We later managed to take a delayed holiday to Kefalonia, Greece. We fell in love even more here and the first serious talks about our future took place.
September 2022
We continued to live in Nottingham with friends as Tom entered the final year of his studies and Beth began her PGCE teacher training course in secondary school science. We both continued to serve at church and grow in our faith. We regularly try to get some fresh air in the peaks.
October 2022
Tom, Sophie and Tanya moved from Luton to Lynton, Devon (what an upgrade!) as Tanya (Tom's mum) started working and living as part of the community at Lee Abbey as youth and children's lead coordinator
Tom popped the question on 11/02/2023, exactly a year since we first met. Let the adventure continue…
