Joshua has always been a romantic. I’ve only been to Orlando, FL once when I met him at 18 years old. I went to Disney World when I was 4 lol. Him being a Floridian had been too many times to count. So he planned a getaway to Orlando and all the other Universal Studio theme parks to formally ask me to be his girlfriend on May 1st, 2011.
I’m sure neither of us knew in 2010 that we would meet our soulmate at Florida A&M University, but we’re happy we did! Attending college together bought along bumps in the road but our love and devotion never faltered. We gained many friendships during this period of our lives and a lot of them will be in our wedding!
In 2016 we got our first fur baby! Josh named her Princess! Which was a perfect name because she is a princess, a princess that barks a lot! Lol. Check the photo gallery for an updated picture of her, she’s a big girl now.
After college, Josh and I moved to his hometown of Miami where we lived for 2 years. While being a total climate change and culture shock for me I learned to adapt to the Miami heat.
After a lot of convincing, in 2018 we moved to my hometown in Atlanta. Here we had a lot of fun and created new memories with friends and family.
During 2019 we lived in Hawaii for three months on a travel assignment. We had so much fun in this beautiful state! We tried to experience everything we possibly could in those 90 days!
Suddenly engaged on a Mother’s Day! I wouldn’t have ever guessed this would happen. All my family and friends got me so good! I didn’t have the slightest clue but this was the happiest day of my life! To know that the love of my life wanted to become “one” with me. Everything has lead to this moment...
