We met at our alma mater, Lake Forest College. Tim played football, while I played softball. We started talking when Tim noticed my Providence Catholic license plate holder and immediately started telling me that Marist was better. We connected further at a party & the rest was history!
Our first 'official' date was to the Lake Forest Senior Party on May 6, 2016!
Tara graduated in 2016, but I graduated in 2018. After graduation, Tara went to pharmacy school at Wisconsin. We spent those 4 years traveling to see each other every other weekend. I guess we can say it was worth it!
After Tara graduated from pharmacy school we moved into our first place together in Chicago. We found our apartment right when the COVID-19 pandemic was starting. Our lease began May 1, 2020. We still live here today and love it!
For Christmas 2020 Tim surprised me with a boxer puppy! He told me he was driving to ISU to help Marygrace retrieve a bike and a laptop. He came back that night with Bagel. She has made our lives so much more fun in so many ways!
This is my favorite story to tell by far! As the COVID-19 pandemic began to slow down and restrictions began to be lifted, Tim told me that his employer was finally holding a team event, and that wives/girlfriends were invited! Due to the nature of the pandemic, the 'event' was to be held outside at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
When we arrived to the garden I didn't get to attend a work event, but instead Tim surprised me & ask me to marry him! We celebrated with our immediate family at Pinstripes in Northbrook immediately after. It was the most special day!
