Tanya Sabharwal Shah
Matron of Honor / Sister

Tanya is Nikita's older sister and Matron of Honor. Tanya and Nikita were lucky enough to grow up together in multiple countries. With only a 2.5 yr age gap, they have been close sisters and friends since the beginning days in Sweden and NY. Even though Nikita was the younger sister, she was always protecting Tanya from the playground bullies ;). They have traveled the world together including multiple family trips to India to visit family, rode camels in Dubai, and went zip lining in Costa Rica. After Nikita introduced Sean to the family, he assimilated easily and has become a brother to Tanya. They now all live in LA and have formed their own 'Modern Family' with Tanya's husband Amit, and have gone on many fun adventures together (mostly including wine and cheese). Can't wait to hit the dance floor to some Taylor Swift next year!!

Anisha Sabharwal
Maid of Honor / Sister

Anisha feels so incredibly lucky to have Nikita as a big sister. Nikita brings energy to anything they do together whether it's making up secret handshakes, watching Friends for the millionth time or going on numerous road trips to visit colleges. Nikita is definitely a role model that Anisha is lucky to have. Sean has been an older brother to Anisha from the beginning and she is so thankful that Nikita has found someone like him. Anisha could not imagine life without a sister like Nikita.

Jessica Rubin
Maid of Honor

Jessica met Nikita when they were 7 years old. They grew up down the street from each other in Irvington and went from sledding on snow days to listening to Spice Girls, to getting ready for dances. They stayed close through college and, after a couple brutal years commuting on Metro North, finally moved into their first NYC apartment together on the Upper East Side. And yes, they named it Barbie’s Dream House. Even Nikita’s move to LA couldn’t keep them from syncing up — they both finished grad school in May. Forever a partner in crime, Jessica can’t wait to stand by Nikita’s side as she marries the love of her life!

Caitlin Ramirez
Bridesmaid / Future Sister-in-Law

My name is Caitlin and I am Sean's favorite sister! I met Nikita years ago on a rooftop in New York shortly after they started dating. I am so glad 7+ years later she still has all the love and patience for him and his whistling. Fun fact: my significant other is also Indian (parents from the same regions as Nikita's) so I guess my brother and I have a type!

Kara Cicero
Bridesmaid

How I met Nikita? Perhaps it was dancing to Fame year after year of our high school’s Dance Crew or late nights at Friday’s after the musicals - who would have thought we’d have such a theatrical start to this friendship (or that’d I’d ever be allowed in a musical)?! Either way, Nikita soon took me under her wing to hang with the "cool older kids" and since then we’ve been side by side through all the major life events - like afterprom, Plum club nights, the 1:50am train, Atlantic City, festivals and party buses, all you could eat sushi, Libation brunches, Mardi Gras in NoLA… and then, of course, I take full credit for Nikita and her “Schmooper" being together today, and all of us getting to celebrate what will undoubtedly be an epic wedding!

Jen Swift
Bridesmaid

Jen has been one of Nikita's best friends since high school, sharing memories from the big things, like proms and graduation, to the countless sleepovers and late night chicken fingers. Recently, Jen also moved out to Los Angeles and once again, new memories to be made exploring all that LA has to offer and navigating part-time MBAs at UCLA Anderson. With over fifteen years of friendship, Jen loves Nikita for her incredibly huge heart, love of life, and infectious optimism!

Steph Badrigian
Bridesmaid

Steph first met Nikita the first week of freshman year at GWU. They were instant besties and spent the next four years singing along to Britney Spears, eating queso and taking DC by storm. Whether it was planning joint costumes for Halloween (fairies and superheroes were a couple highlights) or pulling late nights studying at the library, they were joined at the hip and couldn't imagine college without each other.

Anna Schork
Bridesmaid

Nikita and Anna met at UCLA Anderson in 2017, but they like to think they crossed-paths years before business school when they unknowingly lived in the same NYC neighborhood. Anna quickly became close friends with both Nikita and Sean during a class trip to Vegas and they've since celebrated many milestones together (the girls even joined forces to complete their Master's Thesis). Some of Anna's favorite memories with the Bride are from when they attended the Sundance Film Festival, where Nikita saw her idol, Taylor Swift.

Megan Ramirez
Bridesmaid

Megan met Nikita in their first year as section classmates at UCLA. After many Saturday mornings filled with spin classes taught by their favorite instructor and brunch, a Taylor Swift concert, and a trip filled with late nights (and one impressive all nighter for Nikita) exploring the coastal towns of Croatia and swimming in the Adriatic sea, the two became friends for life. We might even say that they were destined to become friends because Megan's last name is Ramirez! Although she's not biologically related to Sean, Sean takes on a brotherly role and is known to pretend to be Megan's brother when young gentlemen try to meet her in his presence. Megan is so thrilled to soon call Nikita her sister and have a froyo date for life! ❤️

Marie-Pier Dufort
Bridesmaid

Marie met Nikita and Sean in 2017 at the UCLA Anderson Halloween party. Nikita looked amazing in her bunny ears, was singing to Taylor Swift and had the brightest smile in the room. Sean was wearing a Space Jam sports jersey, definitely not singing Taylor Swift and was also one of the friendliest people there. Marie and Nikita quickly became besties at school over their love of restaurants and fun LA activities. Marie and Sean bonded over their unconditional devotion to the Live.Love.ASAP mixtape. Their friendship milestones were not counted in number of years, but actual number of Vegas trips shared. Nikita and Sean’s profound love for one another as well as their ability to keep their 7-year relationship fresh and exciting is extremely aspirational to Marie. Three Vegas trips later, the three are still sharing awesome Halloween’s together as Nikita is still sporting her signature bunny ears and Sean, his beloved sports jersey.

Wesley Hunter Stem
Best Man

Hunter has known Sean for about as long as he can remember. He considers Sean and the Ramirez family to be his family. They met playing soccer around the age 7 and have remained close ever since. Whether it was soccer basketball or bonding over the Ravens, Sean and Hunter have always gotten along. This has been so easy (for Hunter at least) because Sean is the type of person that you never have to worry about and always stands up for what is right. Hunter doesn't recall a single disagreement, argument, or altercation they have ever gotten into. Quite simply Sean is a class act that deserves the world, and boy has the world been given to him in the form of Nikita. From the time Hunter met Nikita it has been extremely evident how much she cares for his dear friend. Hunter has never witnessed such a deep bond and genuine care for another human. He could not be happier Sean found Nikita, and would bet everything he owns that they will grow together and prosper in this world. Hunter can’t wait to share this special day with them and them making him a part of their wedding has meant more to Hunter than anyone could possibly imagine.

Joe Testa
Best Man

Joe and Sean first met as freshman year roommates at NYU, where they quickly bonded over a shared love of screenwriting, sports, and Kanye West. Ten plus years and a cross-country move later, it's safe to say that Sean's stuck with Joe's friendship for the long haul. Joe credits Sean with a lot of his growth as a writer and person and he's incredibly honored to be his co-best man.

Kevin Thomas Kuuskvere
Groomsman / Cousin

Kevin and Sean are first cousins connected by the Fogarty family tree. As children, they made memories while traveling with their grandparents and on sleepovers during the holidays. Each year, they joined the Hibernians in marching in the Baltimore St. Patrick's Day Parade. These days, there are several states between them, but their 30-year-long friendship continues to develop and grow stronger with age.

Thomas Nealon
Groomsman / Cousin

Sean is my older cousin and the son of my god parents Aunt Maureen and Uncle John. Since I’m the oldest sibling, Sean has been the big brother I never had. He has helped guide me and given me countless advice on school, girls, and life itself. We always shared a connection for our love of fantasy football and grew even closer when he lived with our family before moving to LA and when I committed to play soccer at his alma mater NYU. I’ve since transferred to LSU where I study sports management and cheer on my Tigers. I’ve known Sean my whole life, and I’ve never seen him happier than when he was with Nikita. From one violet to another, I feel lucky and honored to call Sean my cousin, but more importantly my mentor, my role model, and the older brother I never had.

Jeff Kaiser
Groomsman

Sean and Jeff met through basketball mid-way through 4th grade when Jeff moved to the area and they haven’t looked back since. Although their dreams of making it big on the hardwood were quickly squashed, their friendship never was. They've shared incredible memories together as they managed to successfully navigate high school, attend countless Orioles games, Preakness, a trip to Miami and even something as simple as their daily group chat with Hunter as they dissect anything NBA/NFL related. Sean introduced Jeff to Nikita about 6 years ago and his immediate takeaway was the fun-loving personality she possessed and how strong of a connection she had with Sean. Jeff is thrilled that they are taking this next step in their relationship and he was honored to be asked to stand by Sean’s side for such an important day in his life.

Bryan Ernst
Groomsman

Sean and Bryan grew up in the same town and became friends over 20 years ago. By the time they reached 8th grade English class, they thought they had it all. Everyday was filled with curiosity - wondering if their binders would be punted through a ceiling tile or if their lockers would be pillaged, never to see their school supplies again. Life was good. Then one day, 10 years later, Sean introduced Bryan to Nikita. After meeting her, he knew right away that Sean’s best years were still ahead of him and being a king of 8th grade would only be a distant memory. The King had found his Queen.

Amit Shah
Groomsman / Future Brother-in-Law

Sean and Amit first met in 2017 and in true Amit fashion, he liked all of Sean's Instagram photos to be annoying, and in true Sean fashion he found it hilarious. Little did they know that they would eventually be brothers. They connected on their love of sports, beer, and annoying Nikita & Tanya. Looking forward to finally having more men in the household - Amit (and Papa Sabs) can't wait to have Sean officially join the family!

Michael Shymon
Groomsman

Michael is proud to say he’s known the happy couple since the very beginning. From the fire risk that was The 13th Step to the beachfront views at The Whaler, he’s had more adventures with Sean & Nikita than he can count (or remember). Through it all, he’s been humbled to watch these two kindred spirits grow closer and more dedicated to each other. He feels honored to share in this momentous occasion and looks forward to all the adventures yet to come.

Albert Lanzillo
Groomsman

Best man Joe introduced Albert and Sean in the NYU dorms. After bonding over mind-bending sci-fi, cute dogs, and a childhood in neighboring towns, they’ve been permanent pals. Albert is thrilled Sean found his match in Nikita, and is still wondering what took him so long to make it official.

Nick Wright
Groomsman

Nick remembers the very moment he met Sean for the first time — W. 4th St outside of the Kimmel Center for Student Life at New York University their freshman year. Joe (best man) made the introduction. The rest of the night was a blur. No doubt it was filled with lots of belly laughs and good cheer. So was born a bi-coastal friendship filled with an appreciation of good films, bushels of crab, and Waka Flocka Flame.
