Pooja and Bobby first met each other on the first day of intern orientation at the VCU Honors College in Richmond, Virginia in 2009. During their first year of college, they occasionally crossed paths and had mutual friends but didn’t interact much with each other. During their sophomore year, they took their first class together (Animal Physiology), and they quickly became best friends. They began doing everything together--studying, eating Einstein Bagels, and talking on the phone into the wee hours of the night. Bobby even started attending Pooja's volleyball games despite not knowing anything about the sport or its rules. Their friendship grew stronger throughout college, and after four years, Bobby was getting ready to start medical school at VCU. Pooja had a few options--she had gotten into medical school back home in New Jersey, but there was something keeping her from leaving Richmond. She and Bobby started medical school together in 2013, and while their new journey was full of challenges, they remained as close as ever. One day while studying in the medical school education building, Bobby finally mustered up the courage to ask Pooja to be his girlfriend. They enjoyed new experiences together from traveling the country, trying new cuisines, watching Hindi movies, and even bonding over the Lakers (shockingly, Bobby was able to convert her from being a Nets fan). Bobby and Pooja couples matched together for residency in OB/GYN in Las Vegas. On June 21st 2019, Bobby popped the question in front of the fountains at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. They are looking forward to creating a lifetime full of memories together and cannot wait to celebrate their wedding with all of their loved ones.

5 years ago we stopped talking to each other and 4 years ago we re entered each other’s life
3 years ago we became friends again but this time we took our friendship to the next level
2 years ago we couples matched with each other and moved to LV for residency
1 year ago our love for each other grew more and more and we struggled to navigate the tough times of residency together
And this year... this year, Pooja the lakers got Anthony DavisPooja this year will you make me the happiest person in the world and agree to marry me?
