Neeta and David

We met on Coffee Meets Bagel in August 2017 shortly after Neeta moved to Flint, MI for fellowship. We had an instant connection upon meeting each other. We met on Coffee Meets Bagel in August 2017 shortly after Neeta moved to Flint, MI for fellowship. We had an instant connection upon meeting each other. Our first date involved grilled cheese with tomatoes, checking out dementors and other Harry Potter paraphernalia, seeing classic cars at "Back to the Bricks" and seeing U of M Flint campus where the Gandhi statue is. After a year and a half of dating and about two months of finding the "right" moment to pop the question, David proposed outside Hogwarts castle in Universal Studios surrounded by his parents, Zeke and Rita.
The first time he proposed, the moment was quick as Neeta jumped for joy, quickly grabbed the ring and placed it on her own finger. Unfortunately, no one captured it on camera. We had to reenact it for photo-op purposes.

We celebrated our engagement with a small religious ceremony in New Jersey in February 2019 surrounded by both of our families and friends. We decided on a destination wedding idea for the upcoming Summer/Fall to try to incorporate a vacation and wedding with our families.
