Carmen Sham
Cutest baby cousin (Maid of Honor)
I am Amy’s little cousin so I have known her for my whole life! Growing up, we lived in different countries: I spent most of my childhood in Hong Kong while Amy spent hers in Hong Kong, Vancouver and California. Although we were miles away, we had many family gatherings. One of my fondest memories was when I visited Vancouver and stayed at Amy’s house for almost a month for summer holidays. I remember playing with her everyday and rolling on grass fields in Vancouver when we were little. Although we might not see each other often because of distance, I feel that we have always had a deep family connection, she’s always my very dear “biu je”. It is an honor for me to be able to stand next to her on one of her most important days of her life!

Grad School Partner in Crime

My partner in crime, my yolo buddy. She’s always down for anything, always down to try new things~~~We met in pharmacy school in 2011, since then I’ve known we will remain friends for life until we grow old with gray hair we will still be jet setting and enjoying life. After all, who would drive with me right after our rotations, 4 hours from Boston to New York... just to eat, then 4 hours back to Boston that same night! We didn’t even stay the night in NY! Near or far we make our friendship work. You just know when someone makes an impact on your life. With her, life will never be boring and we will never really grow “old”... I mean after all, she is a child at heart, which is what I love most about her. She sees the joy in everything and enjoys venturing the world to see what life has to offer! I was so happy for her when she finally met her forever in Bryan, she deserves a guy that treasures her and appreciates the joys that she brings to everyone around her. Bryan is special as well, in that he was able to even make Amy look at him in that sorta way haha Amy and Bryan are meant to be! I can’t wait to see her walk down the aisle to a man that was made for her! I’m so happy for you both! Cheers to the future and your forever happiness! Love you guys!

The Best Man

I knew it! I definitely felt something was "in the air" when Bryan and I met Amy for the first time at a Warrior game. Soon after, he started bringing Amy to our casual hangouts and KTV nights when I was in town, and they finally became official after a few wild nights in the desert oasis.

Bryan and I had met in college and we were college roommates at UCSD. We instantly became the best of friends after sharing almost every interest except the gaming world. We were always together in the near-decade I've known Bryan, from basketball/tennis and late-night study sessions to exploring San Diego and growing up together as 18-year-olds.

I'm so glad you've found Amy, she is just the perfect gal for you. She's your new tennis buddy and your new adventure-mate. She'll perfectly go along with anything you have planned to do and take care of you!.
I just want to say; I am excited to be a part of you two's most special day. Let's party it up! Vegas-style, if you know what I mean.

Met BFU (Bryan) in college and he is my brother and mate. There are countless stories with BFU as we were always together with late nights of LOL, food tours and vacations. Out of all of them, there is one thing you should know when eating with BFU. Through our countless meals together I would always secretly want my entrée first, as if ours came at the same time in 1 min he would be ready to go and I just started. Bryan being the patient man would always wait for me. I’m so happy Bryan met Amy who is always caring, considerate and brimming with joy. Every time I’m with Bryan and Amy they can never stop smiling at each other and I believe they are a total blessing for one another.

We met at the beginning of junior year at The Athenian School when I moved to the U.S. for high school and soon became good buddies for each other. We were not only classmates but dormmates who lived and literally shared every moment together for 2 years. Maybe some ups and downs, but as I look back, there are only memories full of joy and fun with Bryan from working on projects & playing basketball afterschool to going out for late-night munches & all the weekend hangouts. We even SKYDIVED together as a graduation gift to ourselves, which we tried to but failed to keep secret to teachers.

We had to take different paths after high school as I went back to Japan for university, but I do believe that our friendships have remained unchanged and strong despite the distance between us. I am really happy for you starting a new chapter of life and can’t wait to celebrate for you and Amy. Looking forward to your wedding day and also our future reunions.

If you have ever spent time around Bryan and me, you’d think that we have known each other since we were kids. Truth is, I first met him in my freshman year of college. In just a few years, he became my buddy, my family, and my best friend to say the least.
I can go on and on about the stories we have had together, including the night when Bryan and Amy first met, but I have to keep it short here. All I can say is, it was really fun to witness them try their hardest to hide their feelings towards one another… until alcohol kicked in.
