The Night We Met....

Don't say that you cannot meet a good person in a nightclub....
On June 23, 2018, Aubrey walked up to Morrow in the Park Tavern and asked her to dance.  It was his first time there.  Morrow was a "regular".   She was wearing a blue dress, his favorite color.  Aubrey has always said that he saw a light shining on Morrow and knew she was "the one".   After midnight - June 24th, she gave him her phone number and he walked her to the car.  There's alot more details in between, but we'll save those for another day...

Our First International Trip
Travel is a good test of IF you can get along....
Our first international trip together was to Aruba for the Soul Beach Music Festival, May 2019.  We had been dating less than one year.  Unfortunately, the trip did not get off to a good start.  Morrow made them late to the airport - again.  But this time, it was too late to check in for the international flight.  And because of the music festival, every other Southwest flight out of Midway to Aruba was completely booked for days.  Aubrey was crushed.  Morrow was frantic.  Things weren't looking too good.  Then God sent Theresa to the rescue.
Theresa Dennis is a Southwest Airlines Supervisor and  their Angel.  Theresa pulled a miracle and got them on a flight.  They got to Aruba one day late, but they got there.  The trip was fantastic and Aubrey did not kill Morrow.  He looks like a keeper!
Sheikh A and his Southern Belle

Travel has been an important part of our relationship.  There's so many travel stories that we could tell.  But if we have to choose a favorite trip so far, its Dubai in October 2021.  Think of it.  We traveled over 7200 miles, a 13 hour flight each way, in the midst of a pandemic.  And loved every minute of it. Crazy!

Dune bashing, shisha, midnight meals, brunch at Atlantis, Quincey Jones' jazz club, Dinner in the Sky. and more...When we went to the souk market, he just had to have the traditional garb.  Mr. Aubrey became Sheikh Aubrey.  He was so hilarious. Whatever the Man wants.
We had an absolute ball and felt completely welcomed by the good people of Dubai.  Another successful adventure for Team Adorable.  Our furthest  adventure yet, with many more to go....

The Proposal - Aubrey's story

And when it was time to propose, what better place to do it than where our international adventures started. Aruba will forever be special to us.  Truly One Happy Island!

AUBREY'S STORY (in his own words)......

Funny thing happened on the way to the proposal! In our beginning,  I promised Morrow that she could plan our special day in any way she wished. No questions asked. With only one condition. That I get to choose when and where I would propose to her!
Of course with me asking her to go and pick out rings (He Went to Jared!) two months before we were to return to our first international love trip, Morrow had a feeling I was going to propose to her in Aruba. Only thing is I knew that she had that feeling.  So with that feeling, my future wifey went out of her way to pick out ever romantico atmosphere spots where you could possibly have for a proposal.  (She spared no expense.)  And believe me, they were, some of the most beautiful spots to get on one knee and ask the One you love for their hand in marriage! The Funny thing is, I kept forgetting to bring the ring to these wonderful venues, to ask my beautiful Queen for her hand!  Night after night I would forget to put that dang blasted ring in my pocket after planning to each night.  And each night My Beautiful would have this look on her face like Damn! This Ninja didn't ask again, After all her hard planning for the proposal...
So!...With only one day and a night left on our TeamAdorable trip, my poor Beloved had given up on being asked for her hand.  Maybe next trip she pondered!!
But with time running out on our last day / last night, I saw what I thought was the perfect spot to ask my woman for a life together with me! My perfect spot to record and take pictures because I was about to ask Queen for her hand!    I quickly convinced a poor unsuspecting couple who was only looking to take a picture of their own!  And this time I had the Got Damn ring!!!!
OH yeah, she said yes!   To be continued....
