Shannon Airport

The closest airport to Adare Manor is Shannon International airport, which is approx. 27 miles from Adare Manor.  

The cost of a taxi from Shannon to Adare is between €65 and €80 euro.

Whilst Uber does exist in Ireland, the fastest way to call a taxi is by downloading the Free Now App. which allows you to book and track taxis.

Please note Adare village is quite rural and there can be a delay in securing a taxi

Dublin Airport

Dublin airport is located 138 miles from Adare Manor and the journey time is approx. 2 hours, 20 minutes.

All the major rental agencies are available at the airport, remember to request an automatic in advance.

In Ireland cars drive on the left hand side of the road.  The road from Dublin airport to Adare is a motorway for the majority of the journey and does have two toll sections on this.  If you are hiring a car, request a toll tag from your rental company.  

If you are travelling with children, please note in Ireland an appropriate child seat is required for all children under 8 years of age or 4'9" in height in every car (apart from taxis).

There is a bus from Dublin airport to Adare village.

It may not be possible to hire a taxi for travel to Adare without pre-booking

If you require a driver from Dublin airport to Adare you can try Amex Travel Concierge who charge between €340 and €370 or Blacklane who charge between €410 and €445.

There are 4 pubs in Adare village, all located within 2 minutes of each other.  

Pubs in Ireland usually open from 10 a.m. through to 11.30 p.m.

Each pub in Adare serve food all day, however most kitchens will close at approx. 9 p.m.

Restaurants in Adare

Adare village have lots of great eating out options.

The Manor has the carriage house, the Michelin Starred Oak room and then more casual snacks in the bar areas.

Both the Dunraven Arms and the Woodlands have great options for eating.

Some restaurants do require advance bookings for dinner.

Things to do in Limerick area

If you are staying in Adare Village, the tourist information office for the village is located in the middle of the village, beside the church.  

A day trip to the Cliffs of Moher can be arranged through the concierge at the manor or you can drive yourself.  It is advised to book in advance

Another great visit that would only take a few hours, is the Foynes flying boat museum, the birthplace of Irish Coffee.
