Please keep this in mind as your start booking travel arrangements. Just because something looks close on a map, it doesn't mean it is, mountain ranges don't always allow you to get from point A to point B with ease. We have provided some helpful information below. Unfortunately, there is no public airport in Buena Vista. If you are flying, you will need to rent a car to travel the rest of the way - but don't worry the mountain views make the drive fly by!  

ProTip - You'll be driving over mountain passes ( for my fellow flat landers - a mountain pass is a road that goes through a mountain range or over a ridge) and long stretches of highway will you won't have service - screenshot your directions and download your entertainment ahead of time.

Montrose is about the same distance as Denver. This is a small airport so it is easy to get in and out of. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and drive through the Blue Mesa Reservoir on your way to Buena Vista - it’s the largest lake in Colorado. This area is also home to the Black Canyon National Park!

Buena Vista is a small town with only a few hotels. There are other weddings going on in the area the same weekend.  We recommend reserving lodging as soon as possible.   Please see the suggested accommodations below:

Buena Vista has tons of rentals. Everything is walking distance and you’ll love all the restaurants and shops!  We will have pick-up locations downtown for those not staying at the hotels

We will have busses picking up at the Best Western, Super 8 and The Surf Hotel downtown before the ceremony.
