Salt Lake City: tons of cheap flights, ~4.5 hr. drive to Sun Valley.
Driving: Sun Valley is ~11.5 hours from Denver, CO.

There are NO UBERS OR LYFTS at this time in the broader Sun Valley/Ketchum area.

So we HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking at one of the above hotel options because you will have some sort of in-town car service will all locations. 

If you choose to rent a car, an air bnb may be a great fit for you! Otherwise, we heavily advise booking a hotel. 

If you are in need of a babysitter during the day for activities or on the night of the wedding, Sun Valley Super Sitters offers wonderful help. They have been serving the Wood River Valley, providing nannies, babysitters, and taking care of local and visiting families since 1996.

Transportation will be provided for the three main Wedding events (Welcome Party on 9/4, Rehearsal Dinner & After Party on 9/5, and the Wedding Ceremony & Reception on 9/6).

Renting a car is recommended for guests that are either 1) not staying at a Sun Valley Resort-affiliated property or 2) would like additional flexibility throughout the weekend. 

Ketchum and Sun Valley are very walkable but ubers/taxi's are limited (the towns collectively are only ~3,500 residents!).

Most restaurants, shops, and bars are open to the public in Sun Valley and Ketchum but we recommend checking online or calling the location for current updates.

Facial masks are currently required in most venues and hand sanitizer is readily available. 

Konditorei Bakery & Cafe (LINK): in Sun Valley Village, great breakfast and lunch with a very authentic, Sun Valley feel. Celeb spotting: Arnold Schwarzenegger

Bigwood Bread Cafe (LINK): in downtown Ketchum, fresh baked bread/bagels/etc. Also has sandwiches and salads for lunch.

Kneadery (LINK): Logan's favorite brunch spot in downtown Ketchum, expect a wait for more than 2 but it goes quickly. Celeb spotting: Tom Hanks

Starbucks (LINK): downtown Ketchum, ranked #16 most beautiful Starbucks in the WORLD (proof here)

Lefty's Bar & Grill (LINK): downtown Ketchum, killer patio, chill local vibes. Get a burger, beer, and monkey fries!

Grumpy's (LINK): historic, local burger joint near downtown Ketchum. Burgers, fries, GIANT scooners of beer, sassy bartenders. Celeb spotting: Jack Black

Sun Valley Wine Company (LINK): located in the heart of downtown Ketchum, grab a table on the upstairs patio for killer views of Baldy. Logan's favorite spot for afternoon bubbles. Small, no reservations.

Paddles Up Poke (LINK): brand new poke restaurant located in Hotel Ketchum.

Wise Guy's Pizza (LINK): easy, quick pizza, right across the street from Starbucks

Pioneer Saloon (LINK): Logan & Mike's favorite. Historic steakhouse right on Main Street. Come early, there's always a wait! No reservations.

Sushi on Second (LINK): get your sushi fix! Great drinks, right in downtown Ketchum. Takes reservations.

The Covey (LINK): brand new spot in town with a great patio.

Enoteca (LINK): trendy new Italian right on Main St. (think Postino, but way better). Takes reservations and book early!

Knob Hill Grill (LINK): where Mike and Logan celebrated their engagement with a family dinner al fresco! Amazing fried chicken, steaks, martinis. Not a bad bite and takes reservations. 

Whiskey Jacques: modern country bar on Main Street, usually has live music. A town staple.

The Cellar: located below Wise Guy Pizza. Classic bar with a small secret patio

Warfield's: distillery on Main Street with an awesome rooftop bar. The best views of Baldy in town!

The Casino: open since the 1920s, The Casino is the best dive bar, located on Main Street with cheap drinks, pool tables, and lots of locals.

Duchin Room: located in the Sun Valley Lodge, chic mountain vibes.

Pioneer Saloon: go for happy hour around 4:30, great martinis and the best chips/salsa and people watching in town. Celeb spotting: Demi Moore

The Christiania: The Ash Fam enjoys round(s) of Cosmos and pommes frites at this historic French restaurant. 

Boho Lounge: a new bar in Ketchum, great cocktails with a rooftop bar. Pro Tip: they have hammocks

The Station: great bar/grill located right in Sun Valley Village. Get the Idaho Huckleberry marg and people watch! 

It's important to note that "Sun Valley" is nearly synonymous with "Ketchum". Ketchum is less than a mile from Sun Valley resort and is where most restaurants, shops, and bars are.

Shopping (Sun Valley Village): Sun Valley Gift Shop, Brass Ranch, Panache, Pete Lane's

Shopping (Ketchum): Sway, Girl Friday, Silver Creek, Country Cousin, Huck & Paddle, Stuhlberg's, T's & Temptations, Farmer's Daughter

Sun Valley Lodge Pool & Spa: pool is available to hotel guests only, but the Spa is public. Treat yo self to a massage and cocktail by the pool!

Bowling (LINK): located inside the Sun Valley Lodge, recently renovated and very fun!

Trail Creek Golf Course (LINK): recently recognized by Golf Digest as one of the top 75 courses in the US!

Bigwood Golf Course (LINK): another great golf course right in town, great views of Baldy

Hiking Trails in Town: White Clouds, Proctor Loop, Baker Lake

Fly Fishing (LINK): Silver Creek (world famous!) **we highly recommend booking a guide in advance as fly-fishing in Sun Valley is permit-only**

White Otter: River Rafting company

Red Fish Lake: ~60 min drive north of Ketchum. BEAUTIFUL glacier lake with stunning views and great hikes. Boat Rentals available.

Galena Lodge: ~30 min north of Ketchum. Great hiking trails and mountain biking.
