Shakyra is my best friend or as I affectionately call her "My Co-Defendant" and partner in crime. We met in high school and while we don't know exactly how our bond manifested we are sure that it is solid. Shakyra is the person who knows me best (inside and out) and has my back no matter what! She is the most nurturing, loyal, determined person I know. High school track and field introduced us and life bonded us...19 years and counting!

Ebony is the sister I never had growing up and is hands down one of the strongest women I know! No matter what life sends her way, she overcomes it with grace! Her love and loyalty are unmatched and worthy of admiration. Although she's shorter than me, I've always looked up to her! I count it a blessing that our paths crossed at the tender age of 18 and she's had my back ever since. The Marine Corps introduced us and God's grace keeps us...17 years and counting!

Kiki is the first person that made me an Auntie! She is beautiful, resilient, and incredibly talented. LeeAnn is my Ace...my straight shooter...the Dora to my Boots! She is my voice of reason and the one I can count on to praise me for something good and call me out when necessary. She just gets me and her love is truly unconditional. To know her is to love her and to cross her (or anyone she loves) is simply a bad idea. LOL! Joanna is my Southern Bell and one of the sweetest most genuine people I know. They say traveling together will reveal a lot about a friendship. Well after our epic trip to South Africa, I knew she was stuck with me for a lifetime. Not just because we had a near death experience on our hike (a story for another time) but because we truly enjoy each other's company. Simply put, Joanna is just awesome! A random trip to Target introduced us and her sweet spirit keeps us...8 years and counting!

Kat is Richie's cousin and Ace! Nearly all of his childhood/early adulthood stories are riddled with memories of him and Kat. It's admirable! I will never forget February 7, 2015 while sitting at the table with her and Ebony; Kat says,"Eb you know who I see Charlyne with...Richie..." The rest is history. Their love and bond is beautiful and I can't imagine our day without Kat by our side! Ebony introduced us and marrying her cousin makes us family...forever!

Eleasha...my prayer partner and fellow worship music lover! She is one person I know I can call on when I need prayer or words of encouragement. This woman's heart is made of pure gold! She is a giver and her love is like nothing I've experienced before. Through thick and thin she is there and I count it a blessing to call her friend! University of North Florida introduced us and sisterhood (in Christ) keeps....11 years and counting!

De'Juan is my partner in crime, my brother from another mother, and travel partner. He instantly was adopted into the family and has been a day one ever since. We've been through life together! Above all, the greatest honor is being the godfather to his son, Kayden. Buffalo introduced us, life and travel bonds us...15 years and counting!

Kat introduced us, ministry sustained us, and brotherhood bonded us...12 years and counting!

Brian or "boy" as I call him, is the next boy in line in our large family of female cousins. For a while it was just us and a myriad of girls and then came Daniell. Brain has been my next little brother. He inspires me to chart your own path and to be driven by what works for you. B, defines his own success and plays by his own rules. If the door is closed, he find a window or buy a whole new door. I know he'll have my back in the drop of a dime. If nothing else, Brian is loyal to those who are loyal to him. Family bonds us...30 years and counting!
