We met doing what we love most, adventuring and exploring the outdoors under the beautiful South African sun and making a difference where we can. In April 2018, we participated in MAD2Run and MAD2Ride, respectively, where Ky ran and M cycled from Joburg to Cape Town to raise money for charity. We met on the journey down to Cape Town and struck up our first proper conversation at the celebratory party once all the runners and cyclists had arrived in Cape Town.
Ky gave M bat for a few months, but eventually agreed to go on a pizza and wine date with M on 18 August 2018, where as they say, ''the rest is history''. We very quickly became best friends and soulmates and grew a very deep, beautiful love for one another. M asked Ky to be his girlfriend on 3 November 2018. We moved in together in April 2019 and we got engaged on 28 December 2019 while hiking in the beautiful mountains of Clarens (it is the only time M has ever seen Ky speechless). We got to complete MAD2Ride together in February 2020.
We cannot wait to become husband and wife and to spend the rest of our lives together. We are so excited to celebrate our love and union with the most important people in our lives.
