We have the villa booked for exclusive use Saturday, September 28th through Saturday, October 5th, 2024.

You are welcome to arrive and depart at any time between those two dates, we just ask that you stay a minimum of two nights with us if you are staying at the villa.

Please see the event schedule for important events you may want to take into consideration when planning your trip!

What will the weather be like?

Expect highs of 70-80°F with lows down to 50-60°F at night.

There is a pool at the villa, weather permitting!

What time zone will we be in?

What else is there to do?

We will have events scheduled throughout the week but feel free to go explore on your own at any time!

Nearby:

The villa is located just 5 minutes from Tuoro sul Lago with various shops and restaurants.

Nearby is an assortment of vineyards at which you can do wine tours and wine tastings.

Campo del Sole is an art installation featuring 27 spiraling sandstone columns with a sun symbol at its core, found near the town center of Tuoro sul Trasimeno.

Catch a ferry to Isola Maggiore to view some of the local architecture (a castle, church, and medieval tower) or eat lunch at one of the restaurants on the island.

Further away:

The villa has several day tours available, including:

- Tours of the Etruscan museum of Cortona

- Tours of the medieval town of Perugia

- Trips to Lake Trasimeno, Battleground of Hannibal 217 BC

Florence and Rome are also a short car or train trip away, 1.5 and 2 hours respectively, if you want to make a day trip!

There are also wine, cheese, and historical tours available through a local company. Please contact us or mark on the Google Form if interested.

Will my phone work in Italy?

Most cell phones will work in Italy; check with your cell phone provider prior to make sure it is compatible with the Italian service frequencies.

You will be able to use data, send texts, and make calls on your roaming service, but depending on your phone plan, this may be pricy. Consider buying a travel plan with your cell phone provider.

Internet services will be available at the villa.

Are children or additional plus ones welcome?

Unfortunately, due to limited space we are unable to accommodate children or additional plus ones if not specified on your invite. We appreciate your understanding!

Do I need to learn Italian?

There is a higher prevalence of English speakers in the bigger cities like Florence and Rome but the percentage of people that speak English will be lower in the countryside.

Train stations are well prepared for receiving lots of English speaking tourists, and will have staff able to help. The signs will also sometimes be in English for some of the bigger stations.

Consider downloading Google Translate (you can use the picture function to translate menus at restaurants) and learning some Italian phrases to get by in shops and restaurants!
