Crescent Beach

Not the only beach on the island,  but one of the nicest and most convenient options. Great for working on your tan, renting a stand-up paddle board, going for a swim or just watching sunset.

This is where the taco truck will be parked on Saturday for the beach picnic!

Havens Farmers' Market

One of the best parts of Saturdays on Shelter Island is the Havens Farmers' Market! Stop by the Shelter Island History Center grounds for some local tomatoes, cheese, or wildflowers (our favorite is Island Time Farm.)

Open from 9 AM - 12:30 PM.

Golf

The Shelter Island Country Club is a public, nine-hole, par 33 course located at one of the highest points on the island with sweeping views of Peconic Bay.

Putt Putt

Down the road from our venue is a small mini golf course with a few arcade games and an ice cream counter. Great for kids young or old.

Shelter Island Brewery

Local beers located in the center of the island with some small snack options and loads of board games...The groom is still looking for checkers players since the bride refuses to play him anymore after losing here.

Hike

The Mashomack Preserve is a 2,039-acre nature park, owned and operated by The Nature Conservancy, that covers nearly one third of Shelter Island. Hiking trails are good for all skill levels and range in length from 1.5 to 12 mile loops that meander along 11 miles of coastline, interlacing tidal creeks, woodlands, fields and freshwater marshes. We spotted two baby foxes here in June!

Bike

The best way to explore the island is by bike! Pick one up at Picozzi's bike shop, and venture out to Ram Island, or go peek at the beautiful old homes of nearby Dering Harbor via Harbor Lane.
