Kelsey & Wyatt

"We first met at a Stoney's, a country line dancing bar in Sacramento. The two of us went to the same high school for a year but never knew each other until we met that night. I recognized Wyatt from high school, but all I knew was his first name, so I walked up to him at the bar and asked him if he knew how to swing dance. He said that he knew how to dance, so I tell him to find me when a swing dance comes on. Wanting to dance with him immediately, I walk over to the DJ and request a swing song. That night, Wyatt took videos of me dancing, sent them to me, and says, "So you know I was only looking at you." We stayed at the bar until it closed and haven't been apart since."

We began making memories...

You know they're the one when you get a dog together after only dating for three months... This is our dog Kaia, she'll be taking the rings down the aisle alongside the ring bearers (so let's pray there aren't any squirrels at this wedding). Kaia has been our little adventure buddy, coming with us everywhere. She's a nut for hiking and water so she has no problem with any obstacle we may come across while finding the perfect fishing spot. She loves us as much as we love each other and I'm excited for the many adventures to come with our pup. 

"I was told we were taking family pictures this Sunday and didn't think anything of it. Later on, I'm told that Wyatt is taking the pictures with us too. Then, my friend takes me to get my nails done the day before "family pictures" because she just happened to be in town that weekend. The morning of the pictures I'm told Wyatt's parents are joining us for pictures. I don't know how, but I was still never suspicious that Wyatt was going to propose... I was completely surprised. During the pictures, Wyatt pulls me to the side and is telling me to try out this new fishing pole. At this point I'm just confused because I still think we are taking family pictures but I go to "try out the pole" anyways. Standing behind me, Wyatt gets really quiet so I turn around. There he was down on one knee with the whole family lined up behind him. I had no idea that I was about to have the happiest moment of my life at "family pictures."'

The Mims and Siria families met at an 'I DO BBQ' on October 17th, 2020, at Wyatt's grandparent's home in Stockton, Ca. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and siblings on both sides of the family gathered to celebrate the future Mr & Mrs.
