We can't wait to start the celebrations with you!

For those who will already be at the resort on the 28th, we will have a get-together at one of the venues at The Royalton. We will announce the specific location closer to the date!

Wondering what to wear?

Beach Chic

Women: Opt for a simple sundress, breezy maxi dress, or high-quality romper. While dressy sandals are acceptable, avoid standard, beachwear flip flops.

Men: Nice, short-sleeved shirts such as polos are permitted as well as nice shorts.

What is the Mehndi?

The Mehndi party is the pre-wedding celebration when the bride has the red-orange mehndi "stain" applied to her palms, back of her hands, and feet.

Tradition says the deeper the color of the bride's mehndi, the happier the bride and groom's marriage will be.

We will have Mehndi artists available for guests who want to participate and get mehendi done!

Wondering what to wear?

Indo-western or Cocktail Attire

If you're getting mehndi, wear short sleeves to expose your hands. Ensure you're comfortable because you may have to sit for an extended period. Have fun with what you wear, so don't wear your favorite little black dress!

For attire recommendations, please navigate to our website's Travel Info & FAQs section.

What is Holi?

Holi, the Festival of Colors, is not only a celebration of spring but also symbolizes the vibrant and diverse colors of love and togetherness. By including a Holi event in our wedding, we are infusing our marriage festivities with the spirit of joy and unity, and as a symbol of the beginning of a colorful journey together.

Like the act of playing with colored powders during Holi is believed to bring people closer together, we see it as a beautiful metaphor for the merging of our families, creating a harmonious blend of love and shared experiences.

In essence, we could not think of a more fun and interactive way to celebrate our union with all of you but through this event of pure magic and joy.

WONDERING WHAT TO WEAR?

Get ready to get a little messy!

Don't overthink it!  Wear something casual and something that you would not mind getting stained and dirty! To really showcase all of the different vibrant colors, make sure to wear white!

We'll have the photography and videography team to capture the colorful celebration and feel free to jump into the warm ocean afterwards!

What is the sangeet?

Among the pre-wedding events that occur, the Sangeet is where the party begins. This musical celebration includes dances performed by relatives and friends of the Bride and Groom and an open dance floor to commemorate the festivities and embrace the joy and love surrounding the new couple.

Wondering what to wear?

Traditional Indian or Formal Attire

Come in brightly colored outfits and get ready to dance the night away!

For attire recommendations, please navigate to our website's Travel Info & FAQs section.

What is the baraat?

The baraat is a celebratory procession when the groom, accompanied by his family and friends, parades to the wedding ceremony. The procession signifies an age-old tradition of the groom, who would travel an average of five to seven days to his bride-to-be's home.

What to expect!

Please join the groom at the specified location (TBD), get ready to dance, parade through the resort, and end at the wedding ceremony location! So wear what you plan on wearing for the wedding ceremony!

What type of ceremony will we have?

We will have a combined ceremony highlighting Indian traditions and concluding with American vows.

Wondering what to wear?

Traditional Indian or Formal Attire

The bridal party will all be in traditional Indian clothing.

The ceremony will be at the beach, so please keep that in mind when choosing your footwear. You will be walking on sand, so we want to ensure you're comfortable walking to your seats.

For attire recommendations, please navigate to our website's Travel Info & FAQs section.

Vegetarian Indian Buffet

Following the ceremony, there will be a privately hosted vegetarian Indian lunch buffet for all our guests.  The lunch will be at the resort's onsite Indian restaurant, Taj.

We look forward to celebrating with you!

Our wedding reception will be in the evening at the resort's ballroom.

Wondering what to wear?

Traditional Indian or Formal Attire

The bride and groom will be changing into an American white wedding dress and tux, while the bridal party will be changing into long pink formal dresses and black Western suits.  So feel free to wear your best in either Indian or Western clothing.  Just be ready for the final night of celebration and dancing!
