Getting here (and around)
Neither of us grew up in the West Country but - in a surprise to us both - we've somehow moved here and made it our home. So where better to get married, we thought, than in the region in which we've chosen to make our lives? And more specifically, where better than the aptly named village of Wedmore, just the other side of the Mendips and only slightly further from our flat in Bristol than might've been convenient? Needless to say Wedmore is a pain to get to without a car/taxi.
On the plus side, the church and the village hall are within a 3 minute walk of each other, so that's something.
If you're driving on the day, there is a free village car park approximately a 5 minute walk from the Church and Village Hall: 9 Worthington Cl, Wedmore BS28 4EE (accessed from Cheddar Road).
The nearest train station is Highbridge and Burnham (just under 2hrs 30 from London, but also serving other destinations). Wedmore is a 20 minute taxi ride from the station.
There are a number of local taxi firms, including:
Zero-Nine Taxi Services, 07789 911 827
Lou's Taxi Service, 07738 610 357
Cheddar District Taxis, 01934 743801
