Pemberton offers easy access a variety of world-class summer recreation and entertainment, including golf, hiking, horseback-riding trails, + plenty of local farm-to-table food + drink. There is truly something for everyone in Pemberton Valley - explore + enjoy one of our favourite parts of the world.
Pemberton is surrounded by sprawling fields + jagged mountains, along with miles + miles of hiking trails to suit every level.
Joffre Lakes
Joffre Lakes Provincial Park is a popular hiking trail + camping site located just outside of Pemberton. The hike has been popularized thanks to the three beautiful glacier fed lakes + waterfalls. The three lakes are referred to as Lower Joffre, Middle Joffre + Upper Joffre Lake. In order to make the trip from Lower Joffre Lake to Upper Joffre Lake we recommend being an intermediate hiker or in decent walking shape. This trail is not suitable for young children. The trail features many hard ascents + step declines. However, the first lake provides beautiful scenery + is located only a 5 minute walk from the parking lot.
Lumpy's Trail
The trail is actually a dedicated mountain bike trail but in recent years hikers + mountain runners have used it to gain access to the top of Signal Hill Mountain. The trail is easily accessed from One Mile Lake or from the Village of Pemberton using the One Mile connector. Lumpy's Trail takes about 1.5 hours to hike round-trip. The trail is fairly easy to navigate. Be sure to take this hike with a good pair of hiking or solid running shoes.
Peak 2 Peak 360 Experience

Sea to Sky Gondola
The Sea to Sky Gondola is your doorway to year-round outdoor adventure including, hiking, interpretive walks, panoramic views + viewing platforms. The 10-minute ride to the top takes you 885m above sea level where sweeping of views of the Howe Sound + coastal mountains will welcome you from every direction. At the top, you’ll find access to 3,000 acres of backcountry terrain + three main viewing platforms: the southwestern-facing Summit Lodge Viewing Deck, the dramatic Chief Overlook Viewing Platform that jets out to overlook climbers on the backside of the Chief + the windsurfing + kiteboarding action at The Spit.
Stawamus Chief
Known locally as the Chief, this massive cliff face is one of North America's largest granite monoliths. It’s also home to one of the most classic hikes in the Sea to Sky Corridor. While not overly technical in nature, the Stawamus Chief is nonetheless a challenging hike, mainly because it doesn’t beat around the bush. The trail goes straight up, right off the start + is sure to get your heart and lungs into overdrive.
Shannon Falls
Dropping from a whopping 335 metres (1,105 feet), Shannon Falls is BC’s third tallest falls + the Sea to Sky corridor’s most popular spot for a picnic. Around the base of the falls you’ll find a well-maintained boardwalk + trail network to explore some of the area’s towering trees, old-growth stumps + the ever-present mist from the roaring falls above.
Pemberton is known for its golf courses, offering two spectacular 18-hole courses at the base of Mount Currie. Set in the valley beside the Green River & Lillooet River with mountain vistas in every direction, Pemberton has two 18-hole, designer golf courses lying side by side, + is located within a 25-minute drive of Whistler's golfing options.
Pemberton Meadows
No fancy talk. No weird pants. Just a great game of golf, epic views + some cold beer. The Meadows at Pemberton golf course key features (+ bragging rights) include a challenging 18 hole – par 72 – 6,407 yard resort-style golf experience, distinctly varied terrain including front nine meadows, forested back nine + eighth hole island green. Walkable + accessible for all ages.
Big Sky Golf Club
Big Sky Golf Club is the premiere public golf course in Pemberton & Whistler, BC. Ranked by Golf Digest in 2015/2016 as one of the top 30 Public Golf Courses in Canada + in the top 20 golf courses of Canada by SCORE Golf in 2017, you have to experience golf at Big Sky for yourself to truly understand how special the golf course is.
NIcklaus North Golf Club
This is the setting that inspired the great Jack Nicklaus to create a golf course as unique as himself. This par 71, 18-hole course winds along a gentle valley floor offering you a spectacular setting as your golfing skills are tested to the fullest. Winner of numerous awards since its opening in 1996, Nicklaus North has played host to events such as the Skins Game + the Shell's Wonderful World of Golf, welcoming some of golf's biggest names such as Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, Ernie Els, Greg Norman, Fred Couples, John Daly, Vijay Singh + Stephen Ames to name a few.

Fescues Restaurant
Fescues Restaurant in Pemberton, BC is situated in the heart of the Pemberton Valley at Big Sky Golf Club. Spectacular setting, incredible menu selection + great service define the experience at Fescues. Prepared by Executive Chef Evan Sutherland, the menu at Fescues at Big Sky Golf Club is varied to meet the needs of hungry golfers, yet refined to please the most discerning palate, focusing on local Farm-to-Table ingredients.
Pemberton Distillery
