The Kourtaliotiko Gorge, also known as the Asomatos Gorge , is a gorge on the southern side of the western part of the island of Crete in the Rethymno Prefecture. It is situated where the Kourtaliotiko River flows southwards between the mountains of Kouroupa and Xiron. The village of Koxare is at the northern end of the gorge. The gorge is about a 25-minute drive from Rethymno town. It is a moderate hike that is about 3.1 miles in total. A bus will be picking people up from the town center at 8 AM and will return back to the town center at 1 PM. The bus seats 50 people and will be first come first serve. 

We will be at and around the local beach in the Rethymno on the first day of the week! If you are around, feel free to stop by for a few minutes or a few hours! This beach is right off of the boardwalk and close to Rethymno town. Please text/call either Tom or India for any more details!

One of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, nestled in a canyon leading out to the sea. Inside the narrow slip between two cliffs, it has white sand reaching out into turquoise waters that turn to deep blue as it joins the sea. This activity is high difficulty. The short walk to the beach is rocky and steep. The bus will leave at 7 am promptly from The Rethymno Square, next to the municipal garden, it is a 1-hour drive to the beach. The bus seats 20  people and will be first come first serve. The bus will return back to Rethymno Square at 1 PM. There is a small cafe close to the beach where you can purchase small snacks and food.
