Jay and Dipali met on Hinge in the summer of 2019. It was both of their first Hinge dates, and Jay's first date in Dallas. He had just moved to the city two weeks prior, and was excited to explore and meet new people. Dipali caught his eye and they matched immediately.
On their first date, they met at a restaurant and stayed way past closing time, talking and laughing over drinks. They had such a great time that they ended up seeing each other nearly every day for the next few weeks.
Despite having spent a lot of time together, Jay and Dipali were both still a bit nervous about taking things to the next level. That all changed when Dipali invited Jay over for dinner. She spent hours in the kitchen, carefully preparing his favorite dish and making sure everything was just right. When Jay arrived, he was blown away by how amazing everything looked and tasted. But more than that, he was touched by how much effort Dipali had put into making the evening special.
That dinner was a turning point in their relationship. It showed Jay that Dipali was not only beautiful and funny, but also incredibly thoughtful and caring. From that moment on, Jay knew that he was in love with Dipali and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
They spent most of their summer days hanging out by the pool, soaking up the sun and getting to know each other better. They explored Dallas together, trying new restaurants, checking out rooftop bars, and competing at various barcades to see who played skee ball better (Dipali) or who would be the reigning champion of Hoop Fever (also Dipali).
As time went on, they seemingly began spending more and more time together and rarely did anything apart. From late night trips to Target, going to the temple, or even just driving around the backroads to catch a glimpse of the stars, the two became inseparable.
Over the past few years, Jay and Dipali have continued to grow and learn together and have made amazing memories along the way. They're excited to start the next chapter of their lives together, and can't wait to see what the future holds.
