July 4, 2017 - As the night approached, ironically both Cylvia & Kenny were on a plane headed home to South Florida. Both contemplating on what they really wanted in life and when that opportunity would arise. As Kenny was sitting on his balcony alone watching the sky filled with fireworks, he was notified of an engagement announcement via Facebook from a close friend (Cheryl). While boarding a flight, Cylvia received the same notification and commented on their post. Scrolling through the many replies, it was at that moment Kenny caught a glance of a face that he could not let go unspoken. Reaching out to Cheryl immediately, she knew from both angles that the two would be a great match and should meet. Eager to discover this woman, a conversation started that night where their first date was set for July 9th. (Yeah, he slid in the DM.) Not knowing what to expect, their first date (a simple brunch that turned into a party) was a moment they enjoyed so much that strangers around were intrigued to know the length of their relationship. Positive signs filled the air, eventually leading to a second date where Cylvia was introduced to Kenny’s co-workers. With approval from all, Kenny felt confident about his decision. Weeks later, Kenny was introduced to a few of Cylvia’s friends. Passing the interrogation of questions and visually seeing Kenny’s character, they too approved. Week after week, they met on weekends exploring each others interest from activities, to food, and overall having fun. Their lives became happier as they planned an international trip to Europe. A trip that was going to either make or break their relationship. Needless to say, it was Christmas morning that Kenny expressed his love to Cylvia as they introduced each other to the world as an official couple. Over the span of two years, they have traveled to 13 cities in 8 different countries, explored numerous restaurants to become Yelp Elite members as well as Social Media Influencers. Through this journey, their love became inseparable and admired by many of their peers. September 23, 2019 - It was on the last day of a beautiful vacation touring Italy & France, that Kenny secretly proposed to Cylvia in her dream city (Paris). Committing his life to her, they finally received the opportunity they both have waited long for. A true love story, that happened by chance, became a reality and will be cherished for the rest of their lives. Now counting down to our Forever...December 4th, 2020.
November 17, 2017 - Only after knowing each other for 3 months, Kenny & Cylvia took off and headed to Europe. Setting a destination to 4 cities within 4 countries (London, Barcelona, Rome, & Paris) the two were secretly nervous but never let it show. The plan was to explore each city, being their first time there, in hopes of returning to enjoy for longer periods of time. In London they toured the city visiting places like Big Ben, the London Bridge, and St. Paul’s Cathedral. One day it was really cold and they went on a hunt to find Kenny a peacoat to stay warm. During that hunt they found an amazing dim sum restaurant called “Dumpling Legends”. Barcelona was an experience that started at 6am. The two of them took several trains and trolleys up the tallest mountain to visit the grand cathedral “Tibidabo”. A crazy moment was when they almost missed their flight trying to take public transit to the airport. While ordering an Uber to take them to the nearest train, he offered to drive them directly to the airport to assure they would make their flight (talk about luck). Next was Rome...although a great majority of the time was spent shopping, they found time to visit the Sistine Chapel inside Vatican City. They also stumbled across a rooftop restaurant with an amazing view of the city that night. So amazing that they returned the next day to get a better view while enjoying a bottle of wine and a meat platter. Last was Paris...Cylvia’s favorite city. Seeing the Eiffel Tower up close was the one thing she’s always wanted. Kenny made her dream come true! After discovering both their favorite restaurant called “Miss Kö” and hookah lounge, Paris will remain not only a huge part of their travel to return home but a place that solidified their relationship.
November 21, 2017 - If Kenny tell its it, he would say Cylvia invited herself on this trip. Okay, that is partially true. It started off as a guys trip then at the last minute his friends decided not to go. Albeit, Cylvia always dreamed of going to London and Paris so she knew this would be her opportunity. Mind you Kenny and Cylvia only knew each other 3 1/2 months so this was certainly outside of their usual comfort. Going on an international trip where you barely know each is a major risk in itself, however, they looked at it as a deciding factor on pursuing the relationship. There were a few things they learned about each other. 1) Kenny supersedes Cylvia’s planning ability 2) Cylvia dislikes public transportation while Kenny prefers it and 3) They both love adventures and trying new restaurants. Some of their favorite memories in London were having dinner at Duck and Waffle, a skyline restaurant with a British-European cuisine on the 40th floor with floor-to-ceiling windows. Talk about views on views! This same trip they spent an evening visiting their Winter Enchanted Kingdom where they sipped on spiked apple cider, took holiday-themed photo booth pics, tried new local cuisines and locked hands while walking throughout the entire park.
May 9, 2018 - Cylvia was surprised with a full day of activities for her birthday. Upon arrival home from work, she walked into the apartment with a make-up artist ready to make her glow! Meanwhile, a good friend was there recording every moment of the evening. They were questioned about how they met and what they liked most about each other. After finishing her make-up, Kenny walked her outside to an awaiting private driver who escorted her to Bleach Hair Studio to have her hair styled for the evening. Shortly after, she was then taken to a boutique called “Intermix” where she was given the opportunity to select her dress while being serviced with a glass of champagne and fruit. As she was getting prepared, Kenny unexpectedly arrived ready to see her beauty! Then they were taken to a private helicopter where they enjoyed a romantic hour of sky seeing the entire coastal line of Miami. The night ended at a high rise restaurant called “Tuyo” overlooking downtown Miami. The very next day, they boarded a flight to Santorini, Greece where they spent 5 days in Imerovigli exploring the island and watching the sunset every evening. One of the most memorable moments was when they spent a day out at sea on a catamaran stopping at each of the 4 surrounding beaches, swam the hot springs, and enjoyed a traditional Greek dinner on the boat as the sun set. A 30th birthday that Cylvia will remember forever!
Who could resist not going to Spain... especially when Madrid is on the list. Giving Spain a second try after an unpleasant Barcelona trip, we found loved in Madrid. From the perfectly cut cured meats, to seafood, and even the “Cerveza de Limón”, We felt like strangers at home. Living in Miami and hearing the Spanish language made wondering the streets of Madrid comfortable. We walked thru the most famous park of “El Retiro” where we stumbled across a romantic pond and rowed around on our paddle boat. We ate tons of meat and drank beer from “Mercado de San Miguel”. We took tours through museums, spent hours in Tea shops, and discovered some of the best cafes and restaurants to dine at. One thing we love about Madrid is that it runs a bit different than the norm. You see...there is no night life in Madrid. They stay up late, but they get up late and only drink during happy hour. That isn’t night life...that’s delaying the day! And we were all for it. The highlight of our trip ended with a little...or maybe a lot of designer brand shopping. Which has now become our traveling staple upon our return home.
October 17, 2018 - As if their trip to Greece in May wasn't enough, Kenny & Cylvia decided on a two week trip to Southeast Asia. Their itinerary consisted of Thailand spending several days between Koh Phi Phi and Phuket, Singapore, and Bali. Upon arrival to Thailand, unfortunately their luggage did not make it to on their connecting flight. Although frustrated, they did not allow that moment to ruin their first days in Asia. They hiked to the viewpoint in Koh Phi Phi to see the best panoramic view of the island. Although by accident, took the longer and more difficult route, they found an opportunity to bond and cherish this moment together. Phuket was quite the experience! They hired a driver for the day to explore some of the cities most renowned attractions such as Big Buddha and one of their intimate waterfall sightings. They got a chance to witness real life monks in their element. Fast forward to their nightlife, it is certainly an experience they will never forget. It was a combination of the strip of Las Vegas and South Beach on steroids. They are saving their rated-R stories for in person conversations. LOL! Bali was complete serenity. Between day spa experiences and visiting Lempuyang Temple with the "Gates to Heaven”, this was icing on the cake of Kenny & Cylvia’s trip.
September 14, 2019 - There are so many reasons why Italy has always been on Kenny & Cylvia’s list of places to vacation. After all, they truly enjoyed Rome and were anxious to see what else Italy had to offer. During this trip, they spent their first few days in Venice, widely known as one of the world’s most picturesque towns. They roamed the streets and found delight in “getting lost” in the town. Each night they would pick a new bottle of wine from a local bodega while encountering a place to sit, relax and enjoy each other’s company. A gondola ride was an absolute must. As their gondolier beautifully toured them through canals, they listened to themed music, waved to nearby gondolas, and gazed at the beautiful surroundings of Venice. Their last day in Venice they took a half day tour to visit all of Venice’s most popular islands which consisted of Murano, Burano and Torcello. Next on their itinerary was a romantic visit to Amalfi Coast/Positano. They stayed in a boutique villa overlooking the Positano coast with private beach access. Their days in Positano were well spent. From meeting new friends from all over the world during a private yacht experience to completing the 7km hike on the “Path of Gods”, Italy will continue to hold a special place in Kenny & Cylvia’s hearts. Some of their best memories were spent here.
September 23, 2019 - On the very last day of their vacation Kenny made plans to take photos at the Eiffel Tower at sunrise to catch the perfect lighting. As they were getting set up, a photographer came up to ask if he could borrow five mins of their time to take photos for his portfolio. Not thinking anything of it, Cylvia said “...sure! I’ll even give you 10 mins.” Anyone who knows Cylvia knows she is obsessed with photo shoots. Lol. As she was contemplating on the perfect pose, Kenny comes from behind, grabs her hand and kneels down on one knee. At this point, Cylvia was feeling a strong wind of butterflies and her heart instantly started beating fast! She was speechless, beyond happy watching her dream become a reality. While her hands trembled, the smile on Kenny’s face & warmth of his eyes gave comfort as the words from his lips filled her heart with desire. At its divine timing and her aligned faith, Cylvia immediately rushed to his arms and SAID YES!
