What to Wear
We have shared our recommended dress code for each event in the EVENTS tab.
If you are interested in wearing Indian clothing to any of the events, feel free to learn more in this section.
What is an Anarkali? The Anarkali is essentially a gown that sometimes comes in different lengths. Some hit the ground and are floor length, and some hit above the ankle, or between the ankle and knee which you can wear with pants. These styles are comfortable, full coverage and easy to wear. We have an assortment of styles and are always free to help assist you in finding something perfect.
What is a Lehenga? The Lehenga is a two piece set that consists of a crop top, skirt, and scarf, which is called a ‘chunni.’ This set is one of the most fun to wear because it’s unique, and often very elaborate and detailed. They can be heavy with beading, embellishments, and a can-can or light.
What is a Sari? A Sari is a 2-piece outfit as well, but usually with a petticoat worn underneath a skirt in order to hold the fabric up. Sari's can be one size fits all where you wrap the fabric around you and then pleat. You'll often want some help wrapping the Sari around you because it's not as simple as putting on a skirt and top.
What is a Kurta? Kurta and Sherwani's are the two types of Men's outfits we offer. Kurta's are lighter in fabric and perfect for all events such as Sangeet, Baraat and Ceremony.
