The best big sister a girl could ask for! Her advice and guidance through everything are priceless. I secretly always wanted to be like her and follow in her footsteps. She is the bar, and she set it high! Once she settled in the DMV, I just knew I was going to end up there too. and here we are!
Together from the womb! I could not imagine getting married without my twin sister by my side. Duh! When I introduced Ken to my family members, I think one of the most important reactions I was waiting for was Basilia's. If you know her, then you know she didn't really have one lol. But they got along immediately, shared similar interests, and could hang out without me playing video games with no problem! Our relationship is special, and I'm glad Ken understood that too.
One of my oldest and dearest friends. I met Kay during undergrad at Texas A&M. We both lived in Rudder Hall. One day we were all studying and I told her she had nice handwriting...and the rest is history lol. Such a beautiful soul. We've been through countless ups and downs in life and she's still always right by my side. She's also an early bird, so I can call her at 5am and I know she'll pick up.
1/3 of the three amigos. I met Michelle during medical school and she's always a breath of positivity. Our relationship is proof that when God places someone in your life that's meant to be there, nothing (and no one) can break that bond.
The other 1/3 of the three amigos. Jessica is my voice of reason always (hopefully I'm hers sometimes too)! We survived med school and residency together and have shared just about every major milestone since. She may not know it but she's stuck with me for life!
My sister-cousin! Ify and I took a 3 week Euro trip in the summer of 2015 and had the most incredible time! It was such a pivotal experience for me. We were always cousins of course, but on that trip I got to really know her and become close with her. I can't wait for more travel adventures!
