There are multiple stories about how we first connected but this is the one closest to the truth! Julio, from one of the numerous group text, was told “Colbi Mills is moving to town, one of you should go for her.” We have two friends *cough Nick and Tyler cough* that like to fight for credit. Next thing I know I’m getting a friend request on all platforms and then wouldn’t you know a good ole DM slid right on in! I was too comfortable on my couch with Tucker to leave but the banter was there. A week later we went on our first date, to nowhere other than Elgin Park and we’ve been hooked ever since!

On our first date Colbi asked me “what I like to do for fun?” Real original. I told her “I like to follow wrestling.” To her response, “guys jumping off of ropes?!” She’s came along ways. I knew she was the one when we went to the U.S Olympic Team Trials and she was right there yelling “2” beside me. Now she’s got her own brackets and I’ve got her wearing orange! Go Pokes!

It’s no secret that I’ve been waiting a LONG time for this proposal, and yet I was still surprised! Julio had told me earlier in the week that we were meeting Danny and Rachel for dinner on Friday. Totally normal. He took his sweet time getting ready, drinking whisky, so much so that I beat him! We then walked to dinner. He walked SO SLOW, which is not normal! We walk to Guthrie Green and he comments on the lights, I turn around and he is DOWN ON ONE KNEE! He then took me to Cabin Boys for a drink before and all of our friends and family were waiting there! It was perfect
