Stag & Doe in Limerick

Limerick City, Ireland

For anyone arriving in Ireland early, we will be throwing a Stag and Doe party on Saturday April 1st in the city of Limerick. It will consist of an afternoon scavenger hunt style pub crawl.

Starting at 4pm, we will draw teams, then scour the city for clues and pints, and then meet up at the end for some more drinks, dinner and laughs to see who won.

Those who want to carry on into the evening can do so and others can return to their accommodations to get ready for the next day's events.

If you would like to stay in Limerick for this night (as we are) or for the whole trip, there are plenty of accommodation options in this fantastic city; here are a few that we recommend:

After a fun filled evening, we always like to have bloody mary and some pub grub. Therefore, if anyone is not departing early the next day, we invite you to join us for some food, drinks and music at a local favourite - Durty Nelly's.

We don't expect full attendance, but for those who aren't ready for the party to end or just for a chance to say a final farewell, we will have a private room upstairs in this 400 year old Irish pub.

There is a children's park next door, Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, where you can distract the dustbin lids (kids) for an hour or two.

We recommend to fly into Shannon Airport (SNN).
Dromoland Castle is only a 15'-minute taxi drive or 45 minute bus ride from Shannon Airport.

If you are tacking on a trip to Dublin for this event, you can easily get to Limerick and then to Dromoland. It takes 2 hours on the train or 3 hours by bus or to drive from Dublin to Limerick, which is 30 minutes away from Dromoland Castle.

Limerick is also well connected to the rest of Ireland in case you want to visit Kerry, Cork, or Galway while you are in the West of Ireland.

As the Stag and Doe night is taking place in Limerick City on Saturday, April 1st, we are staying in Limerick (George Limerick Hotel) on that night and will move to accommodation at Dromoland Inn from April 2nd - 4th.

We recommend staying at Dromoland Inn or Castle the night before and the night of the wedding, however we've also listed out other accommodation options in the surrounding areas below.
