About Chudi

I was born in Buffalo, New York and grew up mostly in New Jersey. I am 1 of 4 (2 boys, 2 girls - MY DREAM) and have 2 loving parents, Dr. Chike and Dr. Mrs. Azuka Obianwu. We are originally from Onitsha in Anambra State, Nigeria, where I am a Chief and part of the Ancient Agbalanze Society Onitsha. I attended Elementary School at St. Mary of the Lakes in Medford, New Jersey and High School at Bishop Eustace Preparatory High School in Pennsauken, New Jersey. I went on to Georgetown University (Go Hoyas!) to major in Physics and played Division I Football. My career began in Investment Banking and transitioned to Private Equity Investing at Goldman Sachs and now AP Moller Capital, where I am pursuing my dream of investing in infrastructure across the African Continent.

I met Oge in 2017 before moving to Dubai and I told my parents right away I found THE ONE. What I love most about Oge is her sense of humor, her passion and her drive.

How We Met

"I had absolutely no idea that Chudi was planning to pop the big question. I mean the day started off amazing; with a massage, shopping and then all the little things we usually love to do together. While I was picking outfits and getting ready for a romantic dinner, little did I know that Chudi was getting ready to ask me the question of a lifetime!" - Oge

Our Igba Nkwu

We got traditionally married on December 28th 2019!

The traditional wedding or "Igba Nkwu" is a very important ceremony unique to the Igbo tribe of Nigeria. We are both Igbo (a large tribe in South East Nigeria) and so it was very important that we participated fully in the various rites. The Igba Nkwu signifies the union of two families. Traditionally, the family of the bride hosts the event and so our Igba Nkwu took place at Oge's family residence in Okija, Anambra State.
