I was standing at the bar waiting for a drink when I noticed this radiant beauty directly across the bar from me. There was something so intimate and familiar about her face. Once my brain caught up to my heart I realized that I knew the staggeringly beautiful woman. Heart racing I approached. Our eyes locked. The smile on my face was instantly contagious. Meeting each other was like listening to a song for the first time and knowing it would be your favorite.
We lost ourselves in conversation, seldomly breaking eye contact and we never stopped smiling at each other.
At some point of the evening we got separated and when I saw her again, 2 other gentlemen had cornered her at the end of the bar. I watched as this amazing lady was slowly being stolen away from me. Just when I thought all hope was lost she gazed over their shoulders and gave me a breathtaking smile, I knew then that I would regret it for the rest of my life if I didn’t make my move. With my heart beating out of my chest, I walked across the room, pushed passed the 2 overeager lads, took her hand and pulled her close... and the rest is history! Cue romantic power ballad.

Our annual holiday turned into the most magical experience of my life, I was swept away with surprises and the most perfect and unforgettable proposal in Bali. What more can I possibly want than to do forever with my best friend and love of my life!
In search of quality of life and a safer place to raise our kids one day, we uprooted our lives and are now living in Blouberg Cape Town, building a home together with our little fur child Levi.
