My sister from another mister! I met Caitlin when Ryan (my brother, NOT future husband :) ) started including her in our family carpool to school in China, over 20 years ago. We fight like sisters, and we love like sisters. Caitlin has been someone I have looked up to since I was a little girl; whether it's the new hot pink pants she just got over Christmas break, her killer dance moves on Bourbon Street, her superb editorial skills on my college senior paper, or the beautiful family she has created. Caitlin will be spotted in Mexico with a spicy margarita in hand and being the life of the party, as she does not go anywhere without making a new friend.
Katie (AKA Dicker) and I first met in 4th grade in China, wearing Sketchers platform shoes and Limited Too camis. Growing up overseas Katie and I had the opportunity to live a pretty normal childhood. We experienced innocent Friday nights at TGI Friday’s, daily after school trips to XingBaKe (Starbucks), weekend shopping trips to Lady’s Street haggling for the best deal, and family trips sailing the Andaman Sea. We also experienced a life threatening rafting trip in Bali. Katie has always been the "Queen of Fashion" and taste, and the true lady of the group. She believes in innovative uses for a trash can, has a keen since of humor and is not afraid to tell you like it is. She's been my best friend through out life, and is beautiful inside and out. Katie will be found in Mexico laughing the hardest, and still figuring out a way to spend money at an all inclusive resort.
Erin Slavik and I meet in line while rushing our sorority, Delta Zeta, at Texas A&M... just two girls who both happened to be from Flower Mound, Texas. We bonded very quickly over our shared love of journaling and late night visits to Polish festivals. The next few years she became my partner in crime. There is not much this girl and I have not done...together. I think we all know which one of us was the lead instigator. Erin has always been the friend who will tell you everything is going to be okay and not to worry (even if it means you may end up in the hospital for a week). Most importantly, Erin is the ride or die friend who always has your back. If you can’t locate Erin while during the wedding festivities, it’s because she and I are at the restaurant splitting the Monte Cristo.
Jordan and I met at work at Insight Global, and with us both having such big personalities, we were instant best friends. Jordan quickly became part of our family, and the “big sister/bully” to Ryan’s kids. Jordan has this natural way of making everyone smile and have a great time. She has kept me hip, and taught me that life doesn’t always have to be so serious. She also introduced me to Pam and Sloan (I heard they both RSVP'd Yes to the wedding!). In Mexico Jordan will be the first and last on the dance floor, and remember there ain’t no laws when your drinking Claws!!
Reece and I met while working at Sprint, and it was a natural friendship from the start when we both started laughing together at other people's expense in a meeting we were both in. Although Reece lives in Seattle and I'm in San Antonio, any time we have the opportunity to get together, Jaclyn knows it's going to be a long night. Reece and I have a very similar sense of humor, he is always up for trying something new, and I can most certainly count on him for a good laugh and a couple of beers. I am looking forward to Mexico with Reece as I know he will be leading the pack on a wild new adventure.
I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Estevez in 1998 in Kansas City and he is one of my closest friends, despite his opinion that Joe Montana is a better quarterback than John Elway. Andy is that friend that you never meet for a “quick drink” but will always get you home safely... even if it is with AAA. The stories are countless but pale in comparison the loyalty and support he’s given me throughout the years. Andy will be easy to find in Mexico, just follow the crowd, loud laughs and I guarantee he’ll be at the center of it! Just don’t accept any challenges that involve alcohol with him, as he once put it “I’ve been training my whole life for this!”
I have known Kay so long, I could not even tell you how we met, but I can tell you it feels like I have known her my whole life. Kay has always been one of the guys, and I could not imagine getting married without her by my side. She has been there for me through thick and thin, and her giggles will make anyone smile. She has always been the life of the party, queen of rallying the troops, and loves her Fireball. Watch out in Mexico, as this lady kicks up her feet on the dance floor.
Gerald and I have been thick as thieves since the moment we met. This is probably due to the fact that a Bronco fan is a rare find in KC! Gerald has had my back from day one, and has always been right there when I needed a friend the most. Whether is was defending the Orange Crush at Arrowhead, making happy hour turn into happy "hours", or ... as manly as it sounds .. a quick Pokemon hunt at the Plaza. While Gerald might come across as quite, don't let him fool you because his quick wit and charm will catch you by surprise. I'm most excited to sit by the pool, hit the links and smoke a cigar with the one and only Big Papa Doaks.
Jaxson is the baby of the family with the oldest soul and is a true sweetheart. Jaxson loves running duo's with his Dad in Fortnite, Bull Rushing the quarterback on the football field, and swinging the sticks on the golf course with his brothers. In Mexico, Jax will be the first one in the pool, jump the highest on the trampoline and will be spotted at the reception with the most iced out watch.
Megan AKA Patchy is my childhood best friend and future business partner of OneDosSan. She is a world traveler, loves animals, and always enjoys a Cuba Libre. Megan has such a huge piece of my childhood memories, and has gotten to see me at my best, and my worst (detained in a basement in China). We have both helped each other through the most difficult times of our lives and I could not imagine anyone else helping me blend my new family together. Fajita Sumena
