The "Why"

Nestled at the foot of Sequoia National Park is the magical small town of Three Rivers, California – population; 2,600.

So…why are we getting married in Three Rivers?

It all started back in the late 1920’s when Kyle’s Great Grandpa (J.D. Stits) was wandering around the Central Valley looking for places to fish (fishing must be genetic or something). J.D. stumbled across Three Rivers and the “Stits Family Annual Camping Tradition” was officially born! As a kid, Kyle and his family continued the tradition and it became a very special place for them.

Kyle introduced Brynn to Three Rivers and she instantly fell in love with it too. Twice a year, since we started dating, we go camping at the “Secret Family Campground” just outside of town. Over 4th of July Weekend this past year, we got engaged on our first camping trip of the Summer (we were in the middle of fishing for Rainbow Trout when Kyle popped the question!).

When we started planning our wedding, it was hard to imagine getting married anywhere else and we are so excited to share this special place with our favorite people.

We’ve included some info. on our favorite things to do and see in (and around) the village of Three Rivers, but please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

FISHING
The Kaweah River

If you know Kyle, then you know that he has a passion for fishing! One of our favorite things to do in Three Rivers is set up some chairs along the river and fish. It's peaceful, beautiful and a great way to spend an afternoon (or an entire day if you're like us!).

The best part...you can basically cast out anywhere along the river and you'll likely be reeling in a Rainbow Trout or Bass.

SEQUOIA & KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARKS
The Land of Giants

Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks are truly magical and home to the largest living trees on Earth...hence the nickname "The Land of Giants"!

Three Rivers is the gateway to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks and the main entrance to the parks (Ash Mountain) is 4 miles from the wedding venue. If you've never had an opportunity to visit, we highly recommend making some time to do so while you're in the area.

GUIDED TOURS:

If you're interested in taking a guided tour of the parks, check out Sequoia Sightseeing Tours (link to website below). This local, family owned business has been around for many years and comes highly recommended by our friends in the area. They offer 1/2 day, full day and private group tours.

Pizza Factory
The Groom's Favorite

Kyle is somewhat of a self-proclaimed "pizza aficionado"...and he LOVES this place. The Pizza Factory has pretty much what you'd expect; hand-tossed pizza, soups & salads, pasta, calzones and sandwiches - so yummy.

Reimer's Candies
The Bride's Favorite

Walking into Reimer's almost feels like you're stepping back in time. If you have a sweet tooth (like Brynn), then you definitely need to stop by Reimer's! Homemade ice cream, homemade candy AND it's on the river...doesn't get much better than that.

Sierra Subs & Salads
Local Gem

Sierra Subs & Salads is kind of a "famous" little spot among the locals in Three Rivers. They have THE BEST subs and salads (go figure) but also offer burgers, quesadillas and "take and bake" family style meals.

Ol' Buckaroo
Historic Diner

The Buckaroo Diner is located in the original town saloon and tavern of the 40's and 50's and offers traditional American food. The best part about this place are the outdoor tables overlooking the river.
